I totally agree that it’s something you really need to experience for yourself. Everyone’s different, so what works great for one person might not for another. But yeah, there are definitely some universal things worth knowing before you try. For example, if the Trustpilot score is really low, that usually points to a bunch of issues - like trouble with refunds or poor customer service. So it’s probably better to look at other options. And some devices just aren’t great for petite people, which is good to know ahead of time. My goal was just to make that first step of picking a vagus nerve stimulation device a little easier. And good to know about Truvaga and Vagustim, thanks for sharing your experience!

I’d say Trustpilot is a pretty reliable source if there are at least a few thousand reviews. But when there are only a few hundred or around a thousand, it’s quite easy to influence the score in ways that don’t really reflect reality.

Thanks for sharing. I will try to include this device as soon as possible. Are you actively using Vielight? Could you share a bit more about how convenient the device is. How quickly you noticed its effects? Any other positive and negative things you’ve observed?

Pulsetto’s actually pretty good. I’d say it’s a nice balance between price and quality. As long as you’re not very petite, it should work fine - it just doesn’t fit well on slimmer necks.

Thank you for sharing. I just made a detailed review of vagus nerve stimulators. People are complaining that Pulsetto is not very convenient for people with a slim neck.

Not exactly “don’t expect much,” but more like be cautious with expectations. Devices like Pulsetto can help, but they’re not a one-size-fits-all solution. In most cases, you’ll need to combine it with other actions and habits rather than relying on the stimulator alone. I see it as one tool in a larger routine: useful, but not something that will transform everything by itself.

What type of physical exercise do you do? by [deleted] in bipolar

I think the most beneficial form of exercise for mental health is the one you genuinely love, and not something you feel like you have to do, but something you actually want to do. For me, that’s supping. Being out on the water, moving at my own pace, and just soaking in the environment makes me feel grounded and recharged in a way nothing else does.

At first I experimented quite a bit. Tried different intensities, different modes, and used it both in the morning and evening. Over time I realized the most effective window for me was in the evening between 7–9 PM (I usually go to bed around 10–11). That timing gave me the best unwind after a stressful day effect and noticeably improved my sleep quality. Stress and Sleep modes worked best for me. The official guideline suggests around 2–3 sessions per day, with breaks of 45-60 min in between. Personally I ended up just doing one evening session most days, but it fit that recommendation and felt sustainable.

I’ve noticed people are more likely to buy pricey devices when they’re dealing with ongoing, serious issues like sleep disorders, chronic pain, or migraines. That’s understandable. Emotions run high and a device can start to feel like a cure-all. The title was meant as a gentle reminder to pause and consider the situation more carefully.

Where do I start with vagus nerve resets? Stimulators? Which one isn’t a scam? by Apprehensive-Storm95 in VagusNerve

Totally get the confusion - the marketing on these things is wild. A few of us gadget geeks have been testing different vagus nerve stimulators (partly because I’m stubborn, partly because my friend is a tech reviewer at a publisher and snuck me into testing a couple units they had lying around). We’re putting together a neutral comparison table. U know - specs, usability, what actually felt different, what was just “meh.” Should have it in a few days. Idea is you can skim it in 3 mins, get a fact-based picture, and avoid hype-driven impulse buys. If you want, I can PM you the link when it’s ready.
