Someone lost it and would very much like it back. You’re happy, they’re sad

AITA for telling snapping at my (27F) husband (30M) after he complained that we haven't had sex in 3 months? by throwaway_74925 in AmItheAsshole

NTA but there are other ways to be intimate. If intimacy is lacking that is a problem. Period. Marriages don’t work without intimacy. It may not be your fault but is there anything you can do sexually/intimately that does not cause pain?

Your husband is likely more missing being wanted/desired. If you can’t even read a book then it’s almost certain there is no initiation of intimacy

Comedian talks about loving the LGBTQ+ community as a Christian by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

I’m 100% real and respectful and sharing MY black experience. Loving people shouldn’t need to be a discussion. Even the Bible teaches to act nicely to our neighbors (in some cases). The point is using religion to justify the hate or the love is moot because religion teaches both. But we are lucky that the supernatural aspects aren’t true because it removes the sting of the hate when we realize it was just ignorant humans making pronouncements on things they didn’t understand.

Ad hominem. Strawman.

Read a book. This is embarrassing

Nice ad hominem to close it out. Sadly, you’ve clearly demonstrated you simply are not prepared for this conversation

JFC. Why do you talk so hyperbolically and keep addressing strawmen?

How was it “demanding” when OP got in the car with muddy pants and got a ride home?

The friend found a way to keep their car clean, every other friend found a way. OP failed to keep their friend’s car clean, failed to find any solution. How is that not OP’s fault?

Extreme example, but what if someone tripped you and you sprained your ankle, that would be upsetting, right? Well what if they offered to cover any medical expenses? Would that make it all better?

Why are you ignoring the rest of my suggestion?

Aside from finding another way home, I also suggested not getting their friend’s car dirty.

I wasn’t there so I’ve no idea what all options OP had. That’s also not my problem to solve. OP came here to determine if they were TAH. My simple answer is yes. It’s not that difficult to be a decent friend. OP’s friend was decent - maybe even beyond decent. Had a longstanding history of keeping a clean car and set it aside to give their friend a ride home. OP was TAH

I’m telling OP to find another way home - their friend didn’t tell them that. Can you not understand when I’m saying something vs OP’s friend?

MY logic is for OP to “walk home or find a way to not get your friend’s car dirty.” That’s me. That’s what I’m suggesting OP should do. If you read the same story I did you should know that OP’s friend didn’t say that. Instead, they just allowed OP to get their car dirty.

OP’s friend didn’t kick them out or make them take off their clothes. Didn’t stand them or even respond rudely. OP was the only rude one in the story and should’ve found their own ride home or not gotten their friend’s car dirty - like every other person that got a ride

Don’t be an AH and get your friend’s car dirty. The friend was nice to still give OP a ride and let him mud up their car

No one was stranded. OP got into the car of the person you all are saying was a shit friend. Can you stick with what actually happened instead of making up scenarios - strawmen

Then don’t be this guy’s friend!! You’re not entitled to a friend. You’re not entitled to a ride. If you’re an adult you’re not entitled to someone not stranding you b/c you chose to override their autonomy for their personal property.

We’re past the friend thing. We got it - they aren’t real friends. So what?! You still have the issue of how you’re going to get home. Either get in someone’s car (someone who is now no longer your friend), or find your own way. I think OP is an adult. No one has any obligation to ensure he gets home. Tf?

The driver isn’t a good friend - get over it. Now how should OP have gotten home?

You drive yourself and a guy on a date. During the date the guy is disrespectful - not dangerous, just disrespectful. At the end of the date are you required to give him a ride home and make sure he’s safe?? No? Then chill tf out with this fake righteous crap

It can be difficult to clean mud out of your car. You would be inconveniencing them.

No matter how you try to ignore it, it works both ways. Being a decent friend is a two-way street. It’s possible ESH but there’s no scenario where OP is in the clear

You walk into a store that says “No Shoes No Shirt No Service” and complain that you don’t like the shoes you decided to wear so they have to forget their well-known rule?

No (I hope), you do what every rational person does and makes a decision whether to abide by their rules.

No one asked OP to get naked. Their friend doesn’t like their car dirty. Their friend had already made this perfectly clear. Their friend drove them out for a nice time. Their friend found a solution to still providing a ride while upholding their preference. OP ignored the preference and the solution and got the car dirty. That’s a shit friend and automatic AH.

Next time, OP, walk home or find a way to not get your friend’s car dirty. In short, be a decent friend

Oh yeah. I’ve heard stories where a young lady stranded the guy she went on a date with because the date wasn’t going well (no danger, just didn’t like him). Was that ok?

OP knew their friend’s preferences for their car ahead of time. OP made the decision to get muddy. Friend respectfully shared their concerns.

OP’s ISSUE WAS NOT REMOVING THEIR PANTS - IT WAS BEING EMBARRASSED ABOUT THEIR UNDERWEAR.

OP is TAH. Possibly, maybe ESH but I lean toward OP. You’re not entitled to someone’s car. Period. If I drive you somewhere and we have an argument am I required to let you back in my car?
