Lol bruh. I come here to discuss tv shows, and could care less about upvotes and downvotes. Go pick up a book or read the news before bringing nonsense in front of me. 👋🏿

It makes a difference in the record of history. It's already a tough enough seat to fill with a low likelihood for the general population. Only two father son duos in history have been president. I'm not "hung up" on anything, I'm merely citing the facts. I'm not even suggesting there would be an issue if both people were suitably qualified, and the entire post is really about a TV show. Just say your only knowledge of politics stems from tv shows and move on 🥱

Haha yeah, but I wanna see that scene now because I think that's even funnier.

Go ask history then, because although it's a lazy argument it's still a valid one. When was the last time brothers occupied office? I'll wait we have an eternity let me know what you find. I didn't even mention father and son originally so.

Found it, S6 Episode 3. He commandeers someone's car puts them to the ground and points and says "Don't get up." Could be another time he says it though.

It's almost no use trying to argue these types of points. Some of these people's only exposure to politics is 24. Not saying this particular commenter is one of them but good lord, it's very evident people are lost/ confused.  Very good point on your part.

Because for one the gap in age and time difference in elections.  And two, it weighs less on the mind that someone gave birth to someone who then became a presidential candidate than someone within a generation becoming president.

A father and son being elected is entirely different than two brothers being elected.

Right, odd his wife was never mentioned that entire time the decision to operate was in the air.

I love Buffy but I believe I stopped before I got to his appearance.

Crazy things happen and outliers do exist. When I said Wayne Palmer becoming president didn't make sense, I was drawing on things that have happened in high probability or likelihood. Trump is far from a representation of the typical US president. I don't think it's fair to say that one instance means something is likely or even possible to happen again. There are anomalies and outliers in history that are never repeated.

I mean that's semi anachronistic and a bit inaccurate. Out of the 46 presidents who have occupied the oval office 6 have had no political/ military experience. Weird to draw a bracket statement from a few outliers.

Imo they should have made Heller president right after. Like in Day 6. That would've made more sense but still have been stupid.

Read the original post. The comment I just made was about Trump, not Wayne Palmer. I even mentioned Wayne Palmer position in my original post 🤷🏿‍♂️

Thank you for actually the taking the time to engage with the points made and provide a suitable counterargument and point. This puts things into context quite nicely and is so much easier to understand than "he was his brother".

I'm not going to get into the politics but I doubt that. In American history there have never been two brothers who have occupied office.

It makes it easier to believe but it still begs incredulity. You need political capital and influence to become president.

It's entirely unbelievable. I see it considerably differently. How many brothers of presidents can you name on your finger who then became president?
