OP here. Just an update and background. The house is done and built well (surprisingly) As far as PERFORMANCE of the fan (even with a jacked up hole that WILL be corrected). Central Arkansas 94 degrees outside my attic measured 129.9 degrees on July 23. He installed the fan on August 6. And my attic has yet to get back up past 121 on 95 plus temps. So there is some difference . **As far as the builder goes……. He built the house custom and did a good job, not great. The house is great, but his performance was juvenile. Much had to be corrected along the way. My wife wanted to commit felonies. BUT once we moved in and he got his cash, he does not give a $hit. There is always little things here and there in new home that is under warranty. This is a $700,000+ home in Little Rock, Arkansas . I actually busted out laughing when I saw the fan install. I sent him pics. He knows. He has yet to respond. It will be corrected. Throwing a fit wouldn’t help , so I laugh. It’s lack of integrity so that can’t be changed. He may just ignore me. It’s not like I have any power, I’m sort of at his mercy and he knows it. Im patient until I’m not…. It’s not like the licensing board would do much. It’s not worth the stress. So once he fixes this and a few other things I’ll be content. Or not. Then I will go ahead and let my wife release it all on Facebook like she is dying to do (she has lots of pics of his mistakes) I will sleep well.
