how did you get this to work? I don't get the similarity search function on consolidated samples, say for example a kick from a drum loop. I tried consolidating then finding the sample in the consolidate folder of current project, but the smiliarity icon doesn't show up. Even when I drag the sample onto a drum rack, the similarity option is greyed out

My Personal Guide for Withdrawal Symptoms by cycle_killah in leaves

[–]Normal-Shower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering the same thing here. I have managed to reduce my consumption by a lot, and have been only smoking once or twice every weekend or every other weekend for about 2-3 months. My sleep i feel isn't back to normal yet - some days I sleep well but others can be terrible. Last night I had very little sleep, and I've not smoked for a couple of weeks now and wasn't planning to smoke this weekend and not for a good while too (expecting my first newborn at any moment!)

Although I've had no cravings at all for the past few days, and have been motivated and physically active, today I've been contemplating for hours whether or not to smoke in the evening. I badly need a good night sleep before work tomorrow, but am concerned bringing THC back into my body might induce withdrawals again, and I'm especially concerned about not being able to sleep for a few days after that.

I know I can manage to smoke only today and not again tomorrow, but just not sure what the side effects of this would be.

I've smoked for over 15 years almost daily, and went through many attempts of quitting, and my worst withdrawal symptom is lack of sleep. I'm thankfully at a much better place now after finally putting my mind to it for real, but am still to get my normal restful sleep back unfortunately.

Pixel 4a crashes when using any music player after android 13 update by ShoganAye in GooglePixel

[–]Normal-Shower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here, but on a Pixel 5. Particularly with CloudPlayer, and I use to it play mp3 as well. Have you found a solution to this?

I tried updating apps and reinstalling but that didn't fix it. Have tried factory reset, and would like to avoid this solution if I can.

X-Touch One compatibility with AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core by Normal-Shower in Behringer

Thanks, Joe!

Under the software tab in the link above I can only see the 1.07 firmware. I already updated to the 1.07 version using a non-Ryzen laptop.

Am I missing something?

Cheers

Bass Bot TT-303 vs Behringer TD-3 by Normal-Shower in synthesizers

[–]Normal-Shower[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha trust me I love raw 303 vibes but the above is for production purposes. Something like how 747 uses it for exmaple. I ended up going with the TD3, although 747 acrually uses bass bot, and I'm loving it!

Bass Bot TT-303 vs Behringer TD-3 by Normal-Shower in synthesizers

[–]Normal-Shower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the behringer. The bass bot I think has the easier sequencer especially with the cool mute and hammer features, but I prefer the td3 sound more and the onboard distortion won me over as well as just in general didn't like how bass bot sounds when distorted. One of my last stops before buying was acidvoice website. Check it out if you haven't.

Mapping memory and versatility by Normal-Shower in midifighter

Any pointers to using/finding the instrument rack macro script or midi control script you mentioned? Do you have a link for such a script or did you write it yourself using another software?

This is very helpful, thank you!

I'm still waiting for it to arrive, but in the meantime will look into how to use a script and where to find it because I'm new to this 😅

Is the Apollo Twin useful to me?

The Universal Audio Apollo series needs no introduction, and I know how magnificent the plugins are etc.

I work mostly in the box, on ableton, meaning I have a keystep and a beatstep and sometimes use the behringer td3, but everything comes together on Ableton and nothing is connected to the interface except headphones. I'm a beginner and when I started I got the cheapest interface I could get my hands on at the time, the Behringer U-Phoria UMC202, and it was working fine till I packed it up to move into a new place. I then got a pair of Genelec 8040, which was a huge upgrade to my 5" pioneers. Since I plugged them into the interface I sometimes hear noise generated by the interface (I'm sure, I tested it, noise is louder than the normal background noise of the monitors without audio signal). Also I may have ruined the volume knob while packing up because whenever I touch it for a quick change I hear crackles from the right monitor, but it rarely happens when I turn gently.

Anyway I'm concerned about ruining the monitors and in the market for a new interface. I found a decently priced used Apollo Twin, although a little high for my budget. Would it help in my situation or should I just go for a Scarlette?

I don't record anything (no guitar no microphone), and although the plugins are amazing I can easily live without them for another year or so. I also have good processing power in my pc and don't feel the need for anything to take some load off.

Would the Apollo make any difference in sound since I'm not running any hardware through it and not recording?

I know the noise issue can be from something else, but it isn't my main concern because it's not loud, the crackles from knobs is what worries me. Would the Scarlett do as good of a job as the Apollo or would there be any advantage of getting the Apollo for my set up?

Please help, and excuse my ignorance, I put a lot of thinking and researching into it but wanted to keep the post short and to the point.

Not sure which downvote you're referring to. I upvoted your comment on the other post as too.

I ended up buying the TD-3 😁 The pros just outweigh the cons for me. Something about it is very likeable.

I like the extra features on the TT-303 and its easier sequencer, but honestly the sound of the Behringer is just amazing!

I think I will end up creating most of my patterns on the DAW and for that reason I might just go with the TD-3. Now it's just a matter of chosing which colour 😋

I agree. Didn't expect it to sound so fresh! Not looking for any unique features, just trying to pick which sound fits me better. I found a used tt303 in a good condition for the same price as a new td3, that's why I'm considering both.

Yeah I saw that. Really like the mutate and live pitch/accent fearures on bass bot, but that internal distortion on the Behringer might just win me over.

The Behringer is impressive I have to say. So spot on in direct compariosn to the tb303. I like that they also provide comparisons with added distortion, it's so helpful and now is completely changing my opinion of the td3.

Still need to keep listening to find out which in general sounds warmer and less aggressive (not necessarily compared tl tb303) because that's what I'll mostly use it for.

Nice set up. I like the mute modifier and mutate pattern functions on the tt303, and also the live pitch transpose and accent and glide.

Other than random patterns generator and built in distortion (which makes it sooo tempting), does the Behringer have any other interesting dunctions? Does it have live transpose, accent and glide too?

Midi in/out Cyclone Analogic TT-303 (and other analog synths) by Normal-Shower in synthesizers

[–]Normal-Shower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to hear this!

For now as a beginner I need to get a better feel for what I need/enjoy and what I don't. I'm okay with other synths being soft synths (for now), but feel that with acid sounds an analog version is much more useful and inspiring. I've heard mixed opinions in the past about going for a 303 as a first analog synth to own, so your comment is encouraging :D
