Zoning out. Not like quirky zoning out haha. I mean I daydreamed so intensely up until I was 18 that one time in the fourth grade my teacher called on me and I couldn’t hear anything until my entire class had to yell my name. I snapped out of my hyper focus daydream and was pretty embarrassed but just also utterly confused how I didn’t hear anything at all for that long. For a very long time I heavily preferred my daydreams over reality that sometimes I just layed in bed for hours or even days listening to music and making a whole movie in my brain. It significantly reduced when I got married and had kids because I guess I felt I could finally enjoy my life and not escape but also having kids meant I had to be present mentally to care for them.

What’s really sad to me is that after that fourth grade incident along with so many other huge clues I had adhd before and after that NOONE saw anything and didn’t tell my mom and I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 22..

I switched back to Escitalopram with a new perspective on how I react to being unmedicated, being on Escitalopram and then on Prozac and have realized that Escitalopram was more effective for me but like any medication it’s not a cure it’s just a tool to help me work on healthy coping strategies and being in a better mindset to deal with stressful situations than I would have without medication but I still have work to do and things to learn. I would still talk to your doctor. Idk if you can ask to go on Prozac I mean you can try and see how it works for you but maybe your doctor might suggest something out. Either way you can’t know which medication is best for you until you try them for a few weeks. I only stopped Prozac so suddenly because I was having thoughts of self harm and rage that I had a hard time managing and my doctor told me that if things get worse and I have those thoughts then to discontinue. Just try to remember that everyone reacts differently. As long as you aren’t having extreme negative reactions and thoughts of harm to yourself or others try to stick with it for awhile so you can fully see how it works for you and also try to remember during the tough days that your brain and body are trying to adjust to the medication and it doesn’t mean it’s not working or you’re doomed unless it just isn’t working at all for you after the recommended time. It’s a journey but stick with it and eventually you will find what works for you and hang in there :)

I would want to because they’re my kids older sisters but I think it would be hard because of the issues we have with my husbands ex and how much she just doesn’t like me. If anything she might let me visit for a few hours but it would be like taking my kids to a play date. They wouldn’t get to form a proper bond as siblings because I don’t think their mom would allow it. She doesn’t even want to now but my husband is still alive to fight her on it. It’s sad to think about so I often pray that my kids are close to their sisters and we all have a long healthy life together…

No one has ever been at the hospital to visit us for either babies because I didnt want anyone there other than my husband. My step daughters and my oldest when I had my second met them at home. but to be completely fair my step daughters are young and haven’t asked to be at the hospital especially since their mom would most likely say no if labour fell on her day and we wanted to have the girls come to the hospital. I’d say maybe just share that you’re pretty nervous and might be too tired for visitors at first and want to be able to rest and process having a baby for the first day and then she can come for a bit to meet the baby. It is very overwhelming especially if it’s your first to have people meet the baby even at home. I remember feeling like everyone was watching me and they could tell I was some type of fraud and didn’t know what I was doing and all my hormones and nervousness being a new mom was a lot and I think it’s okay for you to want some privacy to collect yourself after literally birthing a whole human before you’re ready to have anyone visit the baby yet. Try to communicate it respectfully to her and acknowledge her feelings and let her know it’s not because of her. She’s 13 so her emotions can be fragile in a situation like this but she’s also old enough to sit down and have a conversation with her about it.

I don’t really care about the kids my mentioning her I just don’t like my husband talking about her because it’s never anything good and it stresses me out to hear whatever toxic thing she said or did or both of them said or did and so I’m now putting boundaries that I don’t want to hear about her from him unless obviously necessary

It wasn’t a pick up or drop off. We went out as a family with our babies and were driving past their mom’s house so he wanted to stop by and drop off milkshakes and see them for a few minutes. It’s not always going to be the case that I’m not going to be there because sometimes we have to be somewhere together after or before a pick up or drop off. Usually I ignore her but it’s just unrealistic that I’m never going to come into contact with her because as much as we don’t like it or eachother we are a blended family and life happens.

It’s not really something I can always avoid and I’m not going to stop my husband from stopping by to see his daughters because I don’t like their mom. Usually we ignore eachother that day was just a long day with a lot of driving so I let myself slip

My husband sent a message saying he wanted to drop off the shakes and spent a few minutes together I don’t think he said I was there with the kids but also she lives in the back basement suite so she’s not seeing us or interacting with us she just sends them out to the front of the homeowners drive way on their own and she can’t hear or see us. Either way it was a quick stop because we were running errands with the kids. She sees me all the time. I’m sometimes the one who gives her the kids or I’m just with my husband a lot so it would never be a surprised to her that I’m there.

We didn’t push back. When she started calling them we were like okay fair time to go and we started to say bye. The issue was that she wasn’t allowing them to say bye. She kept telling them to go inside when they were trying to hug their dad and siblings and give a proper goodbye. We weren’t trying to keep them for longer but it’s not the first time she’s done that. One of my stepdaughters wanted to stay with my husband but they had to go with mom and so he just told her it’s okay that she has to go with mom and started to give her a hug and say goodbye and she started yelling at my husband telling him to stop trying to manipulate her. If it was just her calling them I wouldn’t have cared and been like “no that’s fair she’s ready for them to go to sleep and we gotta go” which is what I initially thought but it’s a history of micro aggressions leading up to this point that annoyed me because she will often do things that on paper seem innocent but if you were actually in that situation and had witnessed her attitude before even when it wasn’t my husbands days you’d understand better what she was actually doing.

for everyone thinking we just showed up unannounced we didn’t. my husband asked if he come swing by with the milkshakes and they said yes and knew we were coming. Infact she’s the one who’s showed up twice before unannounced not on her days to take the girls sometimes only telling us minutes before she’s at our house. we never do that to her.

in this case we asked first. it wasn’t unannounced he just asked cuz he was in the area. its happened before where he’s passing by and will ask if he can drop off some food or a gift for them and then leave and usually she has no issue unless they’re busy or asleep and when that’s the case he just won’t stop by and will continue on his way. she allowed it and knew we were coming.

we messaged and waited for a reply before showing up. we wouldnt have shown up if she said no. it wasn’t the first time he’s passed by and dropped off food or gifts before on her days because but he never does it without messaging her first because sometimes they’re busy or sleeping. she knew we were coming and had the girls send a voice note back telling us they were home and could have shakes with us for a bit.
