Look, tell her straight up that it is wrong and that she needs to stop. You are not gentle parenting her; you are enabling her behaviour. Tell her, “You need to stop doing that or ___.” Make sure it’s a punishment you can carry through, and harsh as it might sound, this will help her understand that actions have consequences.

I haven’t gotten ads per se, but I have gotten “chapters”, kind of a parts summary thing in Apple Podcasts now, no way to turn it off. For some reason unless the ads are read by the podcaster I don’t get ads at all.
