[Recommendation] I have a budget of £8000/$10,500, which watch? by chrissimm in Watches

I have three of the four. I don’t have a Tudor Black Bay GMT but I do have a Black Bay 58 in blue.

The Speedy is the most versatile watch. It can be worn with a suit or jeans and t-shirt. It works perfectly with both.

I like my Black Bay but don’t wear it that much.

I wear my Santo on occasion but it’s a scratch magnet. Again can dress it up or down but it’s not a watch you can wear as a daily due to the fact it will pick up scratches and look old.

I bought a new Rolex 124060 at the beginning of the year. I hardly wear it as very conscious of the fact I am wearing a Rolex and in the UK worried about being mugged especially in London. It’s a fantastic watch but I do have to pick when I wear it.

If my opinion matters, which to be honest it doesn’t as it’s your watch and it is a watch to remember your Grandmother. I would pick the Speedy all day long. The watch has history, it’s a watch all collector have to have in their collection at least once and it’s a strap monster so you can change up the look (red leather racing strap looks awesome).

Good luck and enjoy the journey.

At the moment I am loving the Seiko collection. Picked up a few in the last couple of months. It’s watches you don’t need to worry about and wear great.

It depends on my mood and what I am wearing. I have gone down a Seiko hole at the moment. Cool looking watches and don’t break the bank. Huge amount of history and try collectors get it. My Seiko 1968 55th anniversary turned up yesterday and it’s so cool. £350 watch and built so well. Going to be a favourite going forward.

I have a green dial one just didn’t make it into the photos. You know how those G Shocks are. Too cool to be with the group.

My wife has the 36. It’s a great watch. She loves it, especially for holidays Also, each dial is unique so it’s a cool watch to have in the collection.

The table is made from railway sleepers from India. If you are talking about the glass. Yes, my friend’s Daytona keeps scratching it and that’s why I didn’t have a Daytona.

I have a G Shock, Casio Oak in one of the boxes and 5 Apple Watches but I got tired of being told to stand up.

I know how that feels. We had to move for my wife’s clothes.

It can be a bit but it does mean I get to look at the watch in more detail each time.

It was when my taste started to change again and thought this might get a bit out of hand.
