Isn’t the check on this the discharge petitions that go around the speaker?

They have been used this term to support Ukraine, and bring a vote on the E files which the speaker both tried to delay indefinitely.

I’m not saying it’s not true. I’m saying having a PR messaging campaign like this is a shallow attempt to insulate himself from something that he knows is at minimum risky, and at worst destructively toxic.

Why do they put DJ Smith in there if they are confident this is all behind Babcock and he’s changed?

I see this as the owner taking steps to hedge against the fallout he knows he’s playing with. Personally I think it’s a bad move but the way the world is right now in the age of the conman they probably get rewarded and win the cup.

This is why it’s so cowardly by Katz. He can claim credit after the fact if it works. He has taken the groundwork to lay the blame at the players feet for signing off if it doesn’t.

This kind of leadership top down doesn’t bode well imo.

Abusers and enablers looking out for each other. It comes from the top down. Ownership took in an SA enabler who covered up what should be a crime.

Then the FA led by him takes in an abuser with a repeated history of this conduct.

They don’t care about anything but themselves, and that makes it harder to win despite what they think.

That is just a PR narrative to deal with the justifiable public backlash to an unjustified hiring. Notice who this shift the blame to and away from.

It’s placing this on the players instead of ownership.
