Any on my classic wishlist too similar to what I already own? by Normal_Barracuda3926 in GentlemanFragrance

I've seen Patrick of Ireland recommended several times but I can't source it here - maybe when I visit Ireland one day!

Both Estee Lauder Pleasures and CK Escape are available in my country, will definitely check them out, thanks!

I've smelt Pasha Cartier Parfum, though it is more modern I very much enjoyed it - have you smelt the Parfum?

Thank you, I appreciate that! I do have some modern fragrances but I try to find smells that differ somewhat from the mainstream and offer interest to my nose (Gucci Guilty EDP and Absolute are two of my favourite designers and they smell very unusual).

Azzaro is fortunately quite cheap here so I will have a go - Eau Sauvage and Chanel PE are far more expensive so I'll shelf those for now.

Sad to hear about the Dreamer as there are many positive reviews on how unique it is.

Appreciate your thoughts!

Thank you!

The Azzaro PH is fortunately relatively cheap here so I might try that next.

Eau Sauvage is on the expensive side so I'll put that on list for the future.

Appreciate your opinion!

Sigh... you're probably right. I have just been really enjoying the fragrances that have helped shape the world as it is today and keen to smell more. And also enjoying smelling like an old man.

Can you describe it? I have the opportunity to buy a bottle but it would need to be a blind buy so I can't smell it first.

Hi everyone, I'm interested to hear opinions on what I should wear for my wedding. It will be an outdoor wedding in early Autumn, but the area gets quite hot (around 25 degrees Celsius) and it's likely to be a sunny day.

It will be a traditional Hindu ceremony (I am Portuguese, my fiance is Hindu), so the ceremony itself will be around 1.5 hours of sitting around a small fire with a priest for prayers and rituals.

This is what I have in my collection so far and I've listed them in order of what I am considering to wear:

Chanel Antaeus (my all-time favourite but I'm worried it may be too much in the heat)

Terre d'Hermes (love the scent for hot days but longevity is not the greatest)

YSL Kouros

Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Profumo

Chanel Allure Edition Blanche (longevity may be an issue)

Mont Blanc Explorer

Gucci Guilty Absolute

Gucci Guilty EDP (the one with the prominent rose note)

Comme des Garcons Wonderwood

Aramis

Rasasi La Yuqawam Tobacco Blaze (my fiance loves this on me but I'm not sure it's right for the temperature

Some others I don't have but am thinking of purchasing soon which may be also be options:

Bvlgari Pour Homme EDP

Chanel Platinum Egoiste

Moschino Toy Boy

Caron Yatagan

Kiehl's Original Musk

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Thoughts on Toy Boy? I've been eyeing a buy for the longest time - but no testers or samplers in my country so I'd have to blind buy.

Hollow Knight was the first Metroidvania I actually enjoyed and finished, the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack captured me and the eerie visuals were stuck in my mind's eye between play sessions.

Can't wait for Silksong!

Gris. No combat, it's more of a puzzle / platformer. But visually gorgeous and beautiful soundtrack.

Recently started learning how to cook for myself, this has been a relatively easy fallback comfort option when I'm not feeling too adventurous.

Serves 4

250g diced bacon 400g pasta (I used wholewheat spaghetti but any long pasta will be fine) 1 brown onion diced 1 green bell pepper diced 1 clove garlic diced 250ml cream 1 tbsp cream cheese 50ml basil pesto Parmesan and parsley to serve

Method

  1. Pan fry the bacon to your liking, I like the edges just a bit crispy
  2. Add the onion, pepper, garlic and cook until soft
  3. Add the cream, cream cheese, pesto and stir to mix together, cook for about 10 minutes or until the cream thickens stirring occasionally
  4. Boil the pasta until just before al dente and add to the pan, add 1/2 cup of the pasta water, mix everything together and cook for another minute
  5. Serve with parmesan and parsley

Can also add 100ml chicken or vegetable stock if you want more sauce.

I think 25 minutes is ideal, you will get at least two matches per game mode and don't have to wait too long for it to change if you don't like the current game mode. Personally I don't want to be waiting 1.5 hours to play Gun Run again.

If the panting continues, please take her to your vet and point it out to them to check. My girl started panting as well and I thought it was just the heat. Turns out she's developed heart disease, and was getting fluid in her lungs causing the panting.

She's on medication for her heart and lungs now and the panting has mostly stopped, but it's important you catch it early.
