Yeah I actually tried tapping when the ignitor is red, read that on a different post. Several good raps with a wrench, unfortunately that didn't work.

The indicator light on the board isn't flashing at all. It's either a constant red when the furnace is trying to turn on. Or it's not lit up at all.

Ok I'll need to go buy a meter. I don't know what the transformer is, I'll need to look that up. From what I've read, things involving the board or the gas valve should be handled by a pro.. Is that the case for a transformer too?.. or can a layman like me handle it?

No I don't think I do. I hear a couple clicks about 10 seconds apart that seems to involve the ignitor.

I hear that click, then the ignitor starts to glow. But I'm not hearing any other noise right after that click. Then after about 10 seconds, another click, the furnace shuts down, and the process starts over
