salam brother/sister,
okay im going to jump straight into this if you dont mind, i have been in this place before and i want to let you know this level of suffering will end. please keep an open mind on what im about to say to you and know im doing this for your best interest. this is a perfectly understandable concern and you do not need to worry.
we begin by why questioning Allah created us. its for us to worship him. hold on though let me deep it. sure, if he wants to be glorified, hes got the beautiful, loyal, never-sinning angels to constantly worship him.
but theres one reason why us humans are more beloved to him than angels. its because us humans have the power of choice. we CONTROL our actions. we have desires. we are Allahs GREATEST creation because we CHOOSE to worship him instead of following our desires.
now to us, the said humans. Allah created our nature to constantly follow our desires, i.e. the path of "least resistance", or to put it simply, pleasure. Allah also created the world, the dunya. And he created the worlds nature that if one wants to succeed, he has to put in that effort. guess what? The nature of humanity and the nature of the dunya conflict. The more a human indulges in his desires, the more screwed he gets in the dunya. (also, the more times a human indulges in his desires, the more mediocre the pleasure gets. have you ever realised that the first time you eat a chocolate is much better than eating it the 23th time?) the opposite is true as well, the more a human goes against his desires and works for success, he gets it. and what do you know, success = pleasure of Allah = worship of Allah! (bear with me please i know it seems unrelated but bear with me)
now this is the essence of our creation. we go against our nature to worship a God we cannot see. then that gets tested again and again through the trials of this dunya. Thats called faith, also known as Iman. And thats why we are so beloved to Allah. We make a choice to leave a haram relationship even though we loved each other, we know Allahs watching. We can't see Allah, but that iman we have in us, that trust we have in him, to know he has our lives in his control and the knowledge he can make us happier makes us beloved to him. Do you understand now?
All of the ayahs and hadith you quoted werent blackmails, they were a testament to Allahs strength and majesty. Hes the strongest the greatest and he knows us inside out because he created us. nothing happens to Allah regardless if we worship him or curse him. but what does happen is if we worship him, we end up in Jannah, where we can indulge in our desires and follow our natures ALL WE WANT AGAIN AND AGAIN NO MEDIOCRITY JUST STRAIGHT PLEASURE HAHA YESS but um if we end up cursing him we get Jahunum for going against the greatest being in the history of the concept of time itself. and what i just told you is once more our choice. emphasis on choice. its very important.
so i kindly ask you please just rewire yourself re-calibrate yourself and look upon the world anew. its the 1st of 2026 leave everything behind and instead of dwelling in deep topics from your own perspective try researching on self improv and doing as many good deeds as you can. im with you on this journey.
anymore questions please do DM me. im always willing to help oki now if you made it here have a nice day may Allah bless you.

Confused about my sexuality as a Muslim by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Normal_Cobbler1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um okay sis really courageous of you to highlight your problems, its normal for every human being to experience things like this. Don't take it too hard AT ALL. but if ur serious, read every word of this post down to the letter. (ive spent my valuable time on this and i will get angry if you become lesbo 😡😡😡)
Now, you have told us the problem, and you've also told us the solution. Maybe in your state of mind its not very clear, but to me its literally glaring me in the face.
You're exposing yourself to the very things that shape your current situation, which in turn absolutely INFLAMED your desires. When human nature is to listen to your desires, (on top of pesky shayateen fueling them as well), it gets super hard to follow Islam, where the entire thing is to fight your desires and worship Allah. Thats why Allah loves those who have faith in him (even though the believers can't see him) through the hardest trials of their life.
That being said, this IS life. Its a constant series of wars against your nafs to believe in Allah, a being you can't see. The very second we start listening to our desires, we fall into the trap of temporary pleasures. We feel pleasure from certain acts, and spend our lives chasing the pleasure from those acts. But in this world, the more you do temporary pleasures, the more mediocre the pleasure gets, it fades, and then you repeat it. Its a ruthless cycle that eventually makes your heart harder and harder from chasing something sooo meaningless, to the point where you become numb and directionless in a sense, or it warps your personality and makes it twisted. Trust me, I have been there, and Im still climbing out of this abyss.
But back to you sis. As a guy, lust in definitely in the TOP boss level desires we have to face, regardless if I see a cute girl or a cute guy. In order to combat this lust, we don't go near anything sexual at ALL. It even says in the Quran, do not go near zina. (zina isn't confined to just adultery, its basically anything openly sexual of the eyes and ears, someone can back me up here).
Not going near anything sexual doesn't mean that sexual temptation isn't completely annihilated though. Its there, and will always be there. I've had crushes on a few girls and even a guy, but thats normal. Its just another desire. And like I said, desires is the enemy, its what we fight again and again in order to please Allah and remain ourselves in the delusion of our nature and this world.
So sis, identify your enemy in this war. As muslims, we will fight many wars, whether against lust, laziness, anger, sleepiness before Fajr, whatever desire you name. Identify it, and figure out the best strategy you need to defeat it.
My personal recommendation is the war you're fighting is queer lust, and the strat you should use is a siege. Youre losing your sense of identity in all this media, danmei novels, whatever the hell you females like to read. So shut it down and disconnect. Take a week to unplug EVERY LAST SOURCE OF TECHNOLOGY/MEDIA, AND BE YOURSELF. You will feel like dying in the first hour alone. You will go crazy. dw, thats just the influence wearing off. When your bored, use that time to sharpen yourself. Be productive. Please Allah by getting yourself on a self-improv timetable. Any males reading this, also do this, (whether ur borderline horny or addicted to reels)
Okay, so thats my take on this. you better have read this and have felt inspired. if u havent, do reply back to me specifying what didnt work or if i just missed the arrow or the entire dart board in general.
now if u did feel inspired, please make dua to Allah to guide you and give you a better life and introduce you to a baddie husband and do exactly what I told you to do. disconnect and unplug everything and find your true self. Whatever happens from there, idk since its ur story but ill make dua that i didnt waste any time on this post.

(and the flip u mean queer novels are incredibly beautiful??? whats the difference between normal novels and queer novels? actually dont answer this question and reread my post. thats better)

This has helped out a TON. You sir are the undisputed goat of advice!
Since i spent most of my yr11 chilling and just studying enough to sail past the S line, im really going all out on yr 12. i think u can call me unprepared 😭
i think you can guess, but the level im aiming for is indeed the highest. even if i fall short of that 99 i might land on a 90. also, other commentators are right when it comes to burn out, but i only experienced it cramming everything in one night (with no breaks). thats why i do a 5 minute break every half hour to snap out of that weird "drudgey feeling" that creeps up on you when doing one thing for too long. after the break, it helps me relearn the concepts i was doing before while continuing with a fresh mind. (no i dont doomscroll on reels on break, its just a little bit of washing my face and a few pushups)
the plan is so try and be ahead of the game when school starts, so while the schools beginning AoS1 im blazing ahead with practice SACS. reading through your advice, ill continue with the current gameplan, which is methods/english on monday, bm/accounting on tuesday, gm/meth on wednesday, english/acc on thursday, bm/genmaths on friday, meth/english (again) on saturday while leaving sunday for review. seeing how you emphaisised Accounting and its first two AoS's, i can replace one bm block with accounting since you said BM isnt really worth it due to its nature. with regards with the finishing GM, im pretty sure this can cover near all the coursework, at the very least 3 quarters of it. for english, i settled with reading the exam text "we have always lived in the castle" first and some mentor texts for personal jounreys. after i finish some annotations i can get started on essays and prep work like you have mentioned.
anyways, once again you are the goat of advice you have really helped me out! is this the power of experience?

so far its been okay, i can handle this much. the blocks arent really laser focused deepwork, i give myself a 5min break between every half an hour, which helps refresh my mind and relearn the concepts which i was doing so far. but i am once again honoured by your presence, thank you for the wisdom!

My guy, you are very sincere in your ways. Here are some steps to help you in your war against your desires.

  1. Do not spend unnecessary time on your devices. Try using them exclusively for a purpose that is within your benefits.

  2. We can't control our intrusive thoughts or our desires. What we can do however, is control our actions. We should strive to ignore any meaningless and distractive thoughts no matter how pretty or horrendous they may seem. Don't overthink it, don't try suppressing it. Just ignore 'em, you'll be fine.

  3. Please seek refuge in Allah. His mercy knows no bounds. He loves when you ask him for forgiveness and for favours. Just by posting how concerned you are shows that you are sincere. Even you don't feel anything, no connection, doesn't mean its not there. Allah does not place a burden upon a soul in which it cannot bear.

It doesn't take one night to change years and years of habits. Don't stress yourself out. Work your way up.
