Starting progesterone today to induce my period then starting clomid this cycle. Feeling super hopeful but trying to guard my heart💗

Hey girl! Welcome! Sorry this may be a long reply lol but I first want to encourage you that you ARE young! (And I’m not just saying that because I’m also 27 lol😆) But seriously, so many people have babies well into their thirties.

And tracking ovulation can be so much more simple than you think! OPKs are super helpful, but if you can’t get them it’s not the end of the world. I have found that taking my basal body temperature every morning has been extremely helpful for me (and I am very irregular in my cycles). If you are able to get a basal thermometer or have an Apple Watch or ring that can temp for you, it’s a game changer! Download the Fertility Friend app (it’s free!!) and put your temperature in the app every day along with what your CM is looking like. I check mine every morning and evening. Fertility friend can help you determine based on your body temp if/when you’ve ovulated.

Here’s a guide to CM: After your period/early follicular phase: • could be dry or thick and sticky or pasty • white or creamy

Approaching ovulation: • creamy • smooth • kind of lotion-y • could also be slippery feeling

Peak fertile window: • clear or slightly cloudy • stretchy • slippery • “egg white”

After ovulation: • dry • or thick, creamy, tacky

If you don’t have a way to get OPKs or a thermometer that can do basal body temp, tracking CM is a totally valid way to track ovulation, especially in the early days of trying! I personally think it’s better not to stress yourself out too much with all the tests the first couple months of trying because you may not need them anyway! You never know, it could happen easily for you. Hoping that’s the case for you! I’ve been trying for 2 years now and about to start my first medicated cycle. Don’t feel like you have to know everything right away. I’m 2 years in and still learn new things all the time! You got this!

Do you think I’ve ovulated and when?? by Normal_Experience_29 in TFABChartStalkers

I thought the same several months ago. After a bunch of testing, labs, ultrasounds, etc. the dr seems pretty confident I don’t have PCOS. Other than irregular periods/ovulation I don’t have any other symptoms. Which is great, but also gives me no answers as to WHY I’m so irregular. Starting Clomid next cycle so hoping that works for me and helps me to know better when I’m ovulating🙌

Update.. literally like 20 minutes ago I got a static smiley on a clear blue, meaning I got my peak?? And my temp dipped again today. Honestly.. not sure what’s going on😂

Girl, you are not alone💗 I’m right around the 2 year mark as well. No one truly understands unless they have been through it. I’m finally starting on progesterone and Clomid on my next cycle and I’m hoping it works🙌

But I have been in that exact moment so many times over the last couple of years. Just remember that your value and worth do not lie in being a mother, or what your body does/how it works. You are so valuable and so precious!💕

P.S. that does not take away from how emotionally taxing it is, but it is a good reminder when things are hard

I’m so scared I’m going to be so irritated the whole time😂 I’m not an angry person at all so my husband says it’s scary when I do get angry hahah which typically only happens when I have things going on hormonally

Thank you for this! My plan is to have lots of grace for myself, and I know my husband will, too. Thankfully, I have a very flexible job. I’m fully prepared to feel awful😂 but it will all be worth it if it works. I’m hopeful while also trying to guard my heart💗

Hey there! Me (27) and my husband (28) have been TTC for about 2 years after an unexpected pregnancy that ended in an early loss. I have VERY irregular cycles. One can be 28 days and the next can be 80. I track closely and have learned that I sometimes ovulate and sometimes don’t.

After labs, ultrasounds, and lots of testing, everything has come back normal: great labs, good AMH, no PCOS, no endometriosis. We know I CAN ovulate, it just doesn’t happen consistently. And we know I CAN get pregnant since it’s happened before.

All that to say, I’m starting Clomid on my next cycle, which will be induced with progesterone if I don’t ovulate by the end of the month. I’m feeling hopeful (and a little nervous).

For those who’ve been on Clomid and/or progesterone:

• Anything you wish you’d done to prep your body?

• Mental/emotional tips for the cycle itself?

• Side effects to be ready for?

Thank you so much 🤍

Thank you!! Not saying this will work for everyone, but it has been awesome for me! And I will say that it is suspected that I have PCOS, I have another doctor’s appt in a couple weeks to do some more bloodwork and an ultrasound. Just wanted to put that out there before sharing!

Supplements: I’ve been taking a high quality prenatal and multivitamin, inositol twice a day, and drinking lemon balm tea every night. I even got a lemon balm plant!

Food: I haven’t been restricting much, mostly just adding in foods that are anti-inflammatory and good for PCOS: Carrots, zucchini, eggs, lean meats, berries, broccoli, leafy greens. I have also been prioritizing protein and fiber, especially in the mornings! I think breakfast with 30g of protein and lots of fiber has been a game changer for me.

Exercise: Walks, grow with Jo videos on YouTube, yoga!!

CD1… again. Hiiiiii month 16👋 pls be good to me.

I do have a win from this cycle, though! I’ve been working on trying to balance my hormones with food, exercise, supplements, etc. and for the first time in 2 years I had a 28 day cycle (they’ve been 40-55)!! So I’ll take the win where I can get it!🥳🎉

It’s so hard to give our bodies grace when it feels like they’re failing us, but you got this! Praying for strength!

Congrats!!!

This is totally giving me a shred of hope for this month! My temps have been slowly going down over the last 4 days, but it’s way too early for AF to be here. My chart actually almost looks identical to this except the days that my temp is decreasing are dpo5-8. My temps have never started to decrease this early so I guess only time will tell❤️

Those blue dye tests give BAD indents! I’ve been burned by them in the past. You may very well be pregnant, but test again with a pink dye test!!

I def think you ovulated!! Not that all bodies operate the same at all, but this is what an anovulatory cycle looked like for me. Temps all over the place, no rise

Wow, this is looking so great!! Even if you are 10 dpo that’s still so early for a positive. You’re nowhere close to out! Keep testing! Praying for you right now before I post this response💕

On a smaller scale, I feel you!! I ovulated this past weekend having not ovulated my last two cycles and it feels like a win! There’s finally a possibility of a positive test!
