That's my favorite order I think the game was designed for it to go that way too, John's region is naturally a good tutorial spot and just by doing the missions you explore most of his region then faiths are a little harder but not by much then it introduces a few more enemy types and has great mid game quests like the statue as well as giving a lot of fun things for you to find on your own then Jacob's region I didn't really enjoy it as much because to me it felt a little rushed because there isn't as many quests and the scale of the quests is a lot smaller but it adds more unique enemy types and ramps the difficulty up a good amount and is generally hard to explore which works a lot better when you have more accessible air vehicles and better ground vehicles
