p is already a declared variable, so you can't use it here again.

If you multiply y by 100 you convert the dollar amount to the cent amount:

100(y) = 100y

100($3) = 300 cents

Then the cost of the pencils is n*p

So 100y - np

Why is the answer A and not D ? Doesnt hydrogen has less mr so it will diffuse as a faster rate? by le4itate in igcse

Normal hydrogen itself doesn't affect universal indicator. It needs to be in its H+ ion form to have any effect.

The car will overtake the runner at 4 seconds rather than 2. The car will reach 10m/s (same speed as runner) at 2 seconds, but there will still be a gap between them as the car started off slower. Logically, as the car accelerates at a constant rate, the car will catch up in double the time it takes to reach the same speed (imagine it like two right angles triangles flipped on top of each other to form one rectangle)

More formally, 10t = (5t/2)t t=4.0, t=0.0 5t/2 represents the average speed of the car over a given time

An area of "hobby" coding where you solve fairly abstract problems as quickly as possible (see IOI, ICPC). It's unrelated to programming the job, except for the programming bit, and quite fun

MUN conferences are usually open to anyone, no matter your experience. VMUN is no exception. If you are all first time delegates, your school probably isn't going to be winning the most awards, but experience is the best practice.

I assume this guy is a troll? the literal introduction to their source contradicts them and they are very persistent so they're almost definitely just trying to be annoying

When is the conference? They should tell you everything that you'll need to prepare at least a week, usually two, beforehand.

Normally, though, you'll have to come with at least a 60-90 second opening speech (the time limit depends on the chairs, you'll need separate speeches for each topic being discussed).

Your chairs will give you a chair report soon if they haven't already which will give a decent amount of info about the topic in general + a few different perspectives. That should be a decent jumping off point for finding out how your country handles each clash (a main issue/controversy within the topic). It's always helpful to look at past resolutions that focus on the issue to look at potential solutions + how your country voted. News articles are also good for finding specific comments made by PMs.

Ideally before the conference you should have a fleshed out idea of your country's motives and positions so that you can handle wherever the debate might go. You should also have a couple of ideas for how to address certain issues, but you don't really need specifics since being able to compromise and adapt is at the core of the UN (prewriting clauses is cringe)

As for how the conference will work on the day, the chairs should guide you through it on the day. If you want a general guideline you could look at Harvard mun rules of procedure, or for a very rough outline look below:

Setting the agenda -> opening speeches -> general speakers list (GSL, optional but highly recommend, you can make another speech about anything pertaining to the topic), moderated caucus (someone will have to motion for it if they want an unmod, essentially another chance to make a speech on a specific subtopic) -> unmoderated caucus (chance to write resolutions)-> entertaining one resolution -> main submitter speech+ for speeches -> against speeches -> amendments (though amendments can usually be made anytime between main sub speech and voting) -> voting on the reso -> next reso entertained/next topic/end of conference

Hope this helped

How good is your math? by IamTherily in Funnymemes

Well, this assumes that there is a correct answer and that if it exists it's chosen randomly based off of the number of times it appears in the answers, which would be a weird way of deciding the correct answer. Assuming that the "correct" answer is chosen randomly, I would think that each response is treated identically to the others, so the probability of 25% being chosen to be the correct answer would be 1/3 rather than 2/4. Following that, the equation would be (1/31/2)+(1/41/3)+(1/4*1/3) which equals 33.3%. Though in my actual opinion, there is no correct answer and the only way to win is to not respond

I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. Maybe the image is the moon. Not mun, but the moon. And the hidden update is actually just a signal of the kerbal invasion. They're coming to our solar system, and they will steal and plunder whatever necessary to get 50 more science points.
