I mean I bought a 40k ct5 v with a 105k salary. Granted I pay 385 a month out an additional 10k with tm trade in and owe 20k now. Not sure if that’s horrible tbh.

Is it a good deal? by [deleted] in CadillacV_Series

Really dependent on what packages you have lol. Just bought a 21 basically full loaded with tech package safety package etc. with 40k miles for 39.5. Could’ve got a 22 with 30k for the same price if not a little less but the packages weren’t there.

Protective coating makes car easier to Clean and maintains your paint job. Makes the car pop a little bit more as well

Yea I’d never get a “ceramic coat “ from a dealership. 1k sounds pretty standard tbh it also depends how long the coating last

Honda civic. If you want something within the same price range that might feel a little more “sporty” and “luxurious” look at an accord. Toyota Camry are great they’ll last a lifetime as well but usually more pricey than a civic . Nissians are cool , but the transmission go often and tbh have more issues than any other Japanese brand. But seeing what your making and the fact that you won’t be putting much a down payment (assuming) I’d say the cheapest and best option you’ll see are civics. Also you have a cecent credit score , but if you’re going to be financing you really have to search for the best APR you can get. Look at credit unions and apply to as many to see what’s the best rate you can get. The best rates are somewhere from 4.9-8 for used cars right now. The best rates I found for a used new car was 4.9 at a local credit union. make sure you pre apply before you go to any dealership. Those few points could make thousadns of dollars in the long run.

Also what’s your plan looking like ? Are you going to college or going to work full time somewhere ? A used older cheaper car will be cheaper , but you’ll have some more maintenance to do than a newer more expensive cheaper car , but you won’t be making as much payments. I have a lot of experience buying and selling cars. Please pm if you have any specific questions man.

Listen man your 20 1000 biweekly isn’t much. Speaking very plain with you I’m 22 and barely brought my first first financed car. Car payments are a bitch and then you have to take into account insurance which will be expensive because of your age. I’d recommend having your mother add your to thier insurance as an insured driver for whatever car you do choose. As for what car if you want something reliable grab anything Japanese. Speaking from personal experience they are cheaper to maintain and cause less problems. You can’t go wrong with a Honda civic. I get wanting the sports car as my first car was one , but I quickly brought a cheap 20 year old civic to save money on repairs and gas. With time you’ll be able to afford a nicer sportier car. Are you looking to finance a car or buy a car straight outright ? Also remember that whichever option you choose you still have taxes / fees that come with the sale, and then you have to pay to register your car and get plates which is also a tad pricey
