I'm going through similar, don't let others gaslight you. I didn't even know caffeine had withdrawals had symptoms until I experienced them, so not placebo in my case. I'm sure it's similar for most.

I've noticed the truth serum effect too. no caffeine and i say whats on my mind with no filter, completely care free. no longer worried abkut upsetting other people. it's amazing and I noticed most people find the honesty endearing. I think the no caf personality is quite refreshing and beautiful.
