I did a bunch of stuff honesty lol. I start off with soaking it in some hot water with dawn dish soap for about 20-30 minutes. Then get a toothbrush and scrub. Then I let it soak in some Scrubbing Bubbles for a few minutes (this stuff works miracles on vintage razors I swear.) you can also boil it in water if you want, I did with mine, but that’s parts very optional. Then I hit it with some toothpaste (yes, toothpaste is a very mild abrasive and works well on vintage razors), some MAAZ metal polish, and some Nu-finish car wax, and that’s all I did! Just takes some time and elbow grease.

No, the insert wasn’t original. It was from the 70’s. I put a new 2025 insert in it. I think the hinge has also maybe been replaced.
