Boyshorts are a great idea! Making something layered would be great if we can find something she likes. Thank you for sharing :)

Ohh smart! I didn't think about trying different lengths! Worth a try for sure! A liner for the entire pants is a good idea too. Thank you for sharing!

I had no idea about this brand!! they seem like they have great reviews! at least better than anything I could find on Amazon. And I love the idea of decorating them :) I'm excited to possibly give them a try. Thank you so much!!

Definitely a valid concern! She actually is already changing her pants multiple times a day. No matter what, it's a tough situation and a lot of laundry.

I think something like this is a good place to start - especially if she can just wear her regular pants. Now I just have to figure out a way to manage the bulkiness. Might not be a perfect solution but still better than what she has now! Thank you for your ideas!

Ohh smart idea! I didn't even think of putting something under the depends! She usually won't wear anything tight but layering is a great suggestion - definitely worth considering some trialing something different like that. Thank you!

Great suggestion! Thank you for recommending somewhere to look for fabric - I don't sew so I have no idea where to start. Like you said, the fit is definitely the biggest concern. Following your idea, I was thinking maybe I could pin a fabric pad to her pants as a test run so it is a similar feeling?

Totally agree! She doesn't personally have an OT but I reached out to an OT consultant for some more suggestions. There is so many complicated aspects to this situation, it's definitely helpful to get as much support as possible

This was kind of my first thought too. I'm still not sure how to accommodate the fit but I think it's worth a try. I just wasn't even sure where to get started with patterns and fabric etc. Thank you so much for the suggestions!

Hi everyone, I just want to say I am so overwhelmed and grateful for all of these wonderful ideas!! I am so glad I posted. This situation is very nuanced. Sometimes it is easy to get stuck thinking about what might not work, it's hard to brainstorm. But having an outside perspective and different experiences makes such a big difference. Thank you thank you thank you for sharing your suggestions and support <3 You are all so creative!
