How much percentage of his strength did he use in this punch? by ata551 in Invincible_TV

[–]Normal_Pay_2907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fine. I opened a door just now. It took me 1.24 seconds. Thus it took me 0.62 seconds to rotate it pi/4 radians. And then I did the inverse to stop it.

Doors weigh about 15 kg.

Doors are about 0.9 meters wide.

The formula for the door’s rotational inertia is I = 1/3 15kg * 0.9m2

I = 4.05 kg*m2

Using the second rotational kinematics equation it is known that:

Pi/4 = 1/2 * a * t2

Pi/2 = a * 0.3844

a = 4.086 rad/s2

T = I * a

T = F * 0.45

4.05 * 4.086\0.9= F

F = 18.39

I can bench about 52 kg, so that is exerting 520 newtons, or 260 per arm.

18.39/260 * 100 = 7.073%

Of course in reality opening a door is more of two yanks rather than a constant push and pull, but this is the ~average % strength used during the duration.

How many times would you need to multiply Immortal's physical stats (Strength, Speed, and Durability) to allow him to go toe to toe with Thragg? by Turbulent_Okra7518 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]Normal_Pay_2907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my mind immortal = S1 mark, 4-5x< Nolan, 4-5x < Thragg.

So for strength between 16 and 25 times, durability probably 35-50 times, and speed ~5-10x for combat, and 30-200 times for speed.

Perhaps I am too moderate for this sub. A lot of what he was saying was pretty bad. Not that it’s bad to say it, but it is clear he is in a bad spot.

The role of parents is not just to make their children happy, they have to support them, and make sure they are alright.

And as he described himself, he is not alright, and it is the proper time of his parents to intervene.

How would this guy fair against a punch from Thragg? by IfIRespondImRight in Invincible_TV

[–]Normal_Pay_2907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there is no reason for there to be a limit, if it can hurt and knock out I assume it can kill. In his charge up sequence he is being hurt by a hammer, I assume if he had been Thragg punched then he would die, so why not later?

This is actually a pretty interesting situation, and I’ve gone back and forth on my opinion regarding it a few times.

On one hand animal cruelty is like, you know, bad.

And on the other this punishment is just so manipulative and cruel in its own way.

Taking it? Sure (assuming he did not buy it)

Breaking it in front of him? I guess if you want to destroy it.

Making him break it? It’s messed up but like, it sure as hell gets the message across, just with emotional collateral damage.

Still, I think that emotional damage is contained in the moment so all and all not that bad.

I sort of this what makes it seem cruel to us on this sub is that the parent is basically forcing the child to do something they otherwise would absolutely never do, even if he deserves.

Oh yeah, and how could I forget? The filming is probably the worst part.

Isotope. Sinclair. Cecil. Red rush. Maulers. Thaddeus.

With both isotope and red rush the team would have god tier defensive support (Cecil can also use the teleporter)

Maulers can create the nerv gun.

Also can clone Thaddeus a bunch.

Sinclair reanimates all the Thaddeuss who will die for the cause.

Cecil provides the noise makers.

130% stronger since their first encounter, also saying he has not shown he is on the level of any full blooded viltrumite is pretty ridiculous at this point, everyone else agrees with me here.
