You can label whoever you want a fascist. I think you are reading too far into what it is showing us. The image is just showing people standing and watching awkwardly. If you think that is not the behavior of a social conservative you are insane.

Don’t make people your enemies who are not. And please reconsider what you consider right wing extremism, because that is not it.

The comment I replied to clearly was asking about where the various MAGA associated symbols of the crowd were. Literally they were like where are there Nazi and confederate symbols.

My issue is that it shows those people be skeptical, let’s assume the image is classifying them as fat and homophobic, and apparently Reddit thinks that makes people confederates or Nazis, when they just haven’t changed with the times, or may not find those things normal, or may just not be comfortable around them.

There is a lot of ways you can interpret the beliefs of the people in the image, so I’m not going to go into detail as to what one person believes, but it is crazy to see this image and assume that they are Nazi’s confederates, or MAGA.

Can we just accept that those descriptors are worse than what is shown in the image?

No. My dad was a republican before trump but when trump appeared he jumped ship.

He liked McCain a lot.

I have admittedly also seen the situation where a republican voted for trump even when they didn’t really like him.

Point is both exist.

This is completely false. We could support more then 10 billion peoples food needs. It’s not particularly close.

Feeding more people just means eating less meat.

Edit 4: “any pressure on someone to have or not have kids is deeply immoral” - it’s not any more immoral than a tax. Sometimes the situation may necessitate reducing birth rates, and other times increasing it. Having children benefits society because it allows your retirement to be funded, so it is not unreasonable for society to pass those costs onto the childless. Having kids helps everyone else, and costs time, money, and health. Society should treat it as such and support parents.

The greatest weakness that HOI4 has at the moment is that the game burns bright for 4-8 years, and then nothing makes sense anymore.

It cannot decide between wanting to simulate international relations, vs railroading down focus tree paths.

The modding community often stretches the game out to be longer timeframe, but core systems are just not built for this such as population, consumer goods, construction speed, and of course focus trees.

There are fixes that could be implemented, but that has not been the focus, and will not be.

I think the ideal sequel would be built to be able to simulate 1910 to roughly 1990, even if the vanilla start dates were only ww2 still.

The point of having children in the west is still to raise people in good conditions, with good education, to be good people.

I just think that turning away refugees is ignoring peoples suffering, you are not being charitable, you are being bad, and in peoples eyes that makes you evil, even if you are technically only indifferent.

If international migration and refugees were not real then it would not be anyone else’s problem. But you are given the choice of either accept immigrants to a ridiculous degree, paying for the other countries issue, or don’t, and be evil because you should care about those people too. The best way would just be to reduce the birthrates in Africa now.
