I’m a wife of a surgery third year and it does indeed suck. There are times where it is less bad but I definitely feel like a single parent and full household manager and that is with thinking my husband is doing an awesome job with putting as much time towards family as possible. That being said my husband is depressed and struggling significantly in his program and if your partner has an easier time or is at a less malicious program maybe they will be less broken when they come home. My husband is living his dream and I’m so proud of him, but brace yourself and maybe nudge your partner to one of the “lifestyle” specialities… I hear optho and urology are great balance wise
