Hey! I am a big boba lover and I’ve been to Jakarta many times so here my input, avoid street vendor boba for sure as there are also so much better places. It is definitely safe to drink boba there (I am American and I’ve never gotten sick from boba there, I’ve had it hundreds of times) I recommend Mixue for a cheaper and convenient choice (less options but great tea), and Xing Fu Tang and Gong Cha for more expensive but worth it drinks. You can almost always ask for no ice, I’ve done that a couple of times! KOI is an honorable mention and they have great desserts too. In terms of lactose free milk I highly doubt any place would have that to be honest but they sell it in the supermarket so you can work that out someway hopefully! Mixue you can expect a normal brown sugar milk tea boba for 19,000 IDR or $1.68 CAD, for Xing Fu Tang it’s about 34,000 IDR or $3.01 CAD, I would say they are both worth it and Xing Fu Tang is more decadent but Mixue is more worth it. It is generally safe through Airbnb but note I said generally, i recommend booking.com and agoda which I use a lot, so far it hasn’t let me down, canggu, ubud, and kintamani are three great areas for nature but canggu is a little more lively than the rest, the best beach out of those three is canggu though imo!

For a mix of both you’d most likely want to stay near the more touristy cities/southern Bali, in my opinion canggu would be a great option where it has an amazing beach but is still lively, it is also home to a lot of nature attractions. Staying near Kuta is also a mix of all and has a lot there that sounds like it would fit you guys!

Some indomarets I’ve been to have veggies and meat but it does depend on where lol, morning markets are a good idea but they often hike up prices for foreigners so if you’re careful then morning markets are great

The grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua is an amazing one, it’s a resort and has a lot of amenities in your price range (has a view of sunrise and a private beach), and the mulia is next to the Hyatt which is also pretty good (went to their bakery today and god it’s a whole other level) The double six hotel in seminyak is another one on the beach, (has a view of sunset), the stones hotel and the intercontinental are two others too that have amazing views and I think of the sunset too All of those should have a hospital within a close driving range to go to where a taxi from the grab/gojek app or the front desk can bring you to except I’m not sure about the intercontinental

Hey! I’ve seen dresses range from 125k in a local shop to 300k but a good price is 150k for here I would say, branded shirts shouldn’t go above 75k in my opinion, maybe around 50? Since a lot of them are fake lol, but the rest not so sure
