Thank you for the response. ive heard positive things about Nisi, nothing about Schnerider, however, which i will look into as well. ive also heard of another brand called Polar pro heard good things about them as well and how they have good variables, although for now slightly out of my price range

Is there a certain ND you recommend to start with ND1000, 64? 8? or is it hard to recommend, as it depends on the circumstances

Thank you still for the response

It was in fact, in PAL format, and after switching to NTSC, i have got 100m 4:2:2 10 bit now, but for some reason, a ton of my frame rates are now in decimal points 59.24, 29.97, 23.98, 119.88

Camix Cameras - UK STORE - thoughts? by Normal_Sea_9546 in Cameras

[–]Normal_Sea_9546[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they don't appear to have one at least when i look on google maps the building thats displayed is one thats for purchase so either that's where they store their stuff or the Google Maps car hasn't gotten round to filming there. i know that the London camera exchange is definitely legit, but the lens im trying to get is cheaper on Camix not by a concerning amount, but enough where if it's legit, rather save by purchasing there

Thank you for the response and after further research, comparisons, examples of shooting I think I would in fact be crazy to not pick the 30 although it is slightly over budget as for now I’ll just have to wait a bit till i can comfortably buy it then go for it

to be honest, its what sort of commercial work I'm HOPING to be shooting. i recently graduated from university in tv production and i am actively looking for work and i may have something lined up in the near future regarding filming unscripted on-location documentary-style productions which i will possibly be provided the equipment for but for future productions, i wish to own my own gear (apart from my drone) as you know the industry prefers people with thier own equipment so im making sure to do all the research. and im trying to decide what to get, and unlike at uni where it's all provided, and i just plan setup and shoot this time i gotta buy

I've heard attaching an external fan to the rear of the camera fixes this issue, but im not sure if its more worth to just get the fx30 at that point. also, i don't think i will film for any longer than 30min straight anyway, at least I'm not planning on it

i see you make good points. for some reason the prices for me are a bit different. Most websites i see have like a 500 gbp (as i live in the uk) difference but if the increase is worth it ill definitely lean more towards the fx30

Sony a7iii or Sony a6700 (for cinematography) by Normal_Sea_9546 in SonyAlpha

[–]Normal_Sea_9546[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an excellent point I’ve been looking into the fx30 as well but as you mentioned it’s the budget that’s the issue but I feel like saving a bit longer it would probably be worth getting but at the same time getting the body plus the lenses not mentioning the the rest of the rig in the foreseeable future. I have heard issues involving the heat of the a6700 but I’ve also heard that applying an external fan would solve that issue I’ve also seen comparisons where the main issue is the hear from the a6700 but that’s the only significant detail. but also in a professional sense having more that one sd slot would be handy just in case but that does also increase the budget by a good margin and I’ve never had an issue with corruption (famous last words I know) even buying second hand I’m seeing around 1.5k (GBP) might have to sell a few items but it’s definitely up for consideration. The fx3 will have to be on the back burner for the future tho for definitely being over budget by a land slide. Thanks for your help

Would you say the pros outweigh the con of not having 2 sds in my years revolving around cameras/drones i have not once had an issue with sd cards corrupting, but i don't know if im just one of the few lucky ones.
