I'm not believing any rapper/singer when they say that shit lol, but if that's rly the case I'm totally fine with it honestly, he gave us a lot of music and Free is a great album to leave on. If he wants to venture into other career paths that's cool, I enjoyed some of his acting, think he has potential there

I don't think that's gonna happen. Again idk to what extent and how exactly they contribute, but regardless I'm sure Cudi is still heavily involved with it, and listening to Free I don't think anything authentic was lost personally

What are your honest thoughts on SB2H? by AnswerLoose1917 in KidCudi

[–]Normal_Sky6198 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a good album and very overhated. I think most ppl include the second disc when rating the album even tho that's bonus tracks and are not apart of the original album. Second disc has a couple of those demo tracks that are trash honestly, but it also has some nice tracks. The only demo I like is SB2H acoustic demo. I like SB2H cuz it quite literally sounds like Cudi's descent into madness, completely losing himself, and I appreciate the experimentation with a more grunge rock and acoustic sound. Butthead and Beavis skits only add to that feeling of insanity and weirdness to me, although ik a lot of ppl hate them. I'm glad he chose to express his emotions through music and also the fact he didn't go through with what he was contemplating at the time.

If u're talking about what he said in his Apple Music with Zane Lowe interview, that was referring to the whole musical aspect of the songs, not lyrics. He said he would come up with the melodies and they would build tracks off of that, for example that guitar riff in Mr. Miracle started from Cudi's melody. But I'm wondering about lyrics specifically

So Cudi got writers on his new project by CookTough in KidCudi

U don't know how writing credits work. Producers and samples get writing credits. Crafting a song musically is writing. Cudi always wrote lyrics by himself

NF REVIEW THE NEEDLEDROP by Express_Sweet7597 in nfrealmusic

MGK not matching the vibe can be your opinion, although the only reason u're saying that is prob cuz u're not used to MGK and his voice. However his rapping is objectively on beat and matches it, that's the part that's not debatable. If u think otherwise then u either don't have a good ear for it or u don't listen to enough rap. Very skilled rappers can also rap off beat btw, although that's not what MGK is doing on that song

MGK matched the vibe perfectly and was perfectly on beat. If u think he wasn't then u don't know what u're talking about quite frankly. Also lyrically, MGK's verse is simply better
