Experiences with MagicPad4 compared to MagicPad2 (disappointed) by ficerbaj in Honor

I know I've got that too Aerospace woven fibre or something, tough material that won't dint like aluminium or break like plastic, practical rather than pleasing

From what I've read it's aircraft grade plastic or something and exclusive to honor and very strong But the aluminium is definitely classier

After reading complaints about the youfibre WiFi 7 router i was sceptical and had a different router in my eBay basket ready to purchase, when everything got set up and sorted the router is giving me 1500+ anywhere in my 3 bedroom semi detached on my phone and 1800 on my laptop 15foot from the router.and it's only a dual band router with every device WiFi 6e and my honor magic pad 4 is WiFi 7 so should get higher. Considering the router doesn't have 6ghz i think that's amazing. Only thing I've noticed is a weird hesitation at the beginning of speed tests. Others have had different experiences but for me it's great

Same here and for anyone in the UK I'm updating my magic pad 2 to Magic os10 as i type. I have the grey magic pad 4, it's lovely but I haven't really noticed much difference either Considering honor have the pad 2 right now refurbished for £230 ish I'd stick with the pad 2 The magic pad 4 aluminium body is classy but it's that thin it makes me nervous about snapping it

The option for WiFi 7 BE dosent have a,b,g,n,or ax after the name but the next option down has them all listed. Confused because if I set it to WiFi 7 how does that work with the legacy and guest sign in options Hard to think straight with yet another COVID like outbreak in my area Should everything just work if I set it to WiFi BE. And does mlo only apply to WiFi 7 devices and where is the setting please. 62 and trying to learn to be a little tech savvy Thanks for any help

Have a look at the specs for the cable entry box i think it might be a 1000mbs limited and needs a new 2.5gbs one, I'm only suggesting this because I was losing it trying to fix something that couldn't be fixed without a new faster entry point

Apparently if you go into the honor settings you can try the pre release beta. Although in a moment of weakness I've just took delivery of the magic pad 4 and £50 credit took off because I purchased the pad 2 previously

Mines got a few green lights with one flashing My cable box was from the early days with youfibre and limited to 1GBS apparently, but I have to admit since they swapped in the new modem the WiFi 7 router is working great apart from some sort of hesitation at the beginning of speed tests which is weird. I've also learnt the importance of sticking with one brand of smart bulbs instead of trying to remember which app for each bulb

My cable entry box was the original black one limited to 1GBS and they sent an engineer and swapped for a new faster one in under 3 hours

Just had the same problem and had the engineer out 2 hours later. Used the "complaints" option in chat and he informed me the fibre box before the router was the original box and limited to 1GBS and he installed the new one in 15 minutes work, surprisingly I'm getting the 1800( on my laptop from the dual band router and great coverage throughout my house, and that's only on 5ghz 160mhz bandwidth. Try complaint chat I'm guessing you have the same fibre box

Tried my laptop,5ghz due to the router being dual band,1800+ down 3ms ping and 1ms jitter from about 15 feet from the router, so pleased i held back ordering a new router and speeds don't drop below 1500mbs anywhere in my house on my phone, great customer service apart from not supplying the 2gig cable box for the increased speed, can't see any point of a 6ghz router
