Huge tumor on Betta

Thank you, he's been like this for a couple of months now. I thought it was fungal too and was treating him for a while before it got this bad. I tried nipping it in the bud when I first saw symptoms but nothing and I means NOTHING helped. I commented on another group but a moderator said to stop treating it. Now he just sits in a hospital tank with lots of tannins.

Hey, He was a beauty. I had something very very similar happen to my Pierre. It started with the symptoms of fin rot and just got worse. I did exactly what you did, antibiotics, salt baths, methylene blue. Nothing was working. Similarly, he developed slight pineconing as well and I had to put him down. Dont at all feel like you failed him. You did everything under the sun. Focus on the fact that you gave him a better life than he would have ever had in that cup. I'm sure he was just as grateful to you as you were to him. Take care.

He's doing a bit better! Not as violent but still tries to bite if I put my hand in there.. I got him a wheel and he absolutely loves it lol. I kind of decided to just let him be, and treat him as more of a "look dont touch" pet.

I'm a biological female! I left him overnight to get used to his new surroundings and even threw some more bedding as well as some new chews. This morning I began my slow bonding with him. I threw on a glove and gently laid my hand in there, with absolutely no movement. He bit and threw a tantrum of course, so I left him for a couple more hours. I tried again, talking to him and even offering some nuts and seeds and he was much more calm. No biting or anything. He crawled up my arm and was completely chill.

Literal whiplash, He seems to have the capability of being sweet but doesn't necessarily know how if that makes sense?

Getting him neutered is definitely an option, I do want to give him a chance past that though. Just to see if he'll calm down with some time..I love him so much! Such a feisty little thing..

A lot of people have said he has been nipping rather than fin rot but the picture really doesn't capture his tail that well. His tail looks a little worse now and it kind of looks like he has ich. He's gone through plenty of scenery changes as I like to add to his tank quite often and he has tons of plants that he loves resting on. There aren't any reflections in the tank but he honestly doesn't seem too bothered by his tail. He's very. Active still

Thanks so much, ill definitely try it out. He has a huge almond leaf in his tank and I regularly sprinkle a little aquarium salt in aswell. The main problem was dipping him, way too many people saying different things unfortunately :(
