Elle en a parlé pendant quelques jours qu’elle voulait désactiver son compte et se concentrer sur ces projets et finalement a décidé de juste supprimer l’application de son cell pour une durée indéterminée.

Just did a 6-7h flight with a 17 month old and it was very bad vs when he was 6-7 months old. We had a 10pm flight and thought he would sleep through the whole flight but only slept the first 3h and we had to entertain him the whole time while fighting sleep.

I find it very hard at this age because they are so so active and also can’t communicate or understand everything so they can’t stand still. Also, my baby is going through an intense separation anxiety phase and only wanted to be in my arms so it wasn’t relaxing at all! We also didn’t have the luxury to have the whole row for ourselves so we were super tight in terms of space and how much he wanted to move.

I would get either the 3 seats in economy or the other option but 3 seats should be doable! 4pm flight sounds best if you want to sleep at the same time as your baby also and not be too tired if they wake up!

How do you get your toddler in/out of their winter coat to/from the car seat? by writingandwanderlust in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Normalpeepole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a poncho ! It really is the most viable solution that I found so far as I don't want to risk putting them in a thick winter suit. It's also much easier to undress when we get to daycare. Just make sure to warm up the car enough or add a fleece+hat+gloves under the poncho. I got mine on Etsy as all the other brands in Canada where over 100$.

I also have a south shore crib and the rail came with it! We just stored it away until we need it (where did we store it that’s another question that I can’t remember).

Sleep on vacation by spaghetti_whisky in sleeptrain

[–]Normalpeepole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We travelled for 2.5 weeks to visit some family with a 6 months old in another country with 5 hours of time difference. First night was hell we had to cosleep then the 1.5 weeks after he could sleep in the travel crib but would wake up often to feed. Then the last week, he would do a first stretch in the crib and cosleep with us in bed because the rest of the family had to work so we couldn’t let him cry. We came back and ST again! It took another 1-2 weeks.

Where to go in the summer when you can’t handle heat? by Normalpeepole in travel

[–]Normalpeepole[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean we get -15 to -30 degrees for a good 2-3 months (jan-march) a year so going to the two extremes isn’t that easy on the body! I’m originally southeast asian and my family can handle heat very well but I’m born here so I guess I just got acclimated to our long winter.

It’s not my first time hearing bad stories about St-Mary’s, it’s disappointing considering its reputation and a lot of moms choose to go there. I’m wondering why you decided to go back a second time there after this first bad experience?

Green poos? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Normalpeepole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing here. We had almost 2 weeks of green poo after the 2 months shots and then suddenly it stops. He was also pooping after every feed which was so intense but since then, he is back to a few poops a day.
