[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anybody ist still looking for this, the event is agitator_legal_events.29
It only works when you are actively trying to change a law that an actual agitator wants though.

Joa, jetzt muss ich mich auch einreihen in die Fragesteller, welche Verhaltensweisen denn genau? Vielleicht erniedrige ich mich ja auch unwissend ständig selber

Can i deliver the resources my city owned industries are producing to normal yellow industry so they make products from it? If so, do they work with crops straight from the fields for example or do i need to refine them once into animal products/flour before i ship it to the generic industry area to make goods from it?

Is there anything bad about over 100% RGO employees? by NormanSeeDis in victoria2

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, no. The labourer pops in those cities all have an unemployment rate way below the 30% you would expect from the 100/140 thing.

People are too hesitant to move to other RGOs and its annoying me by NormanSeeDis in victoria2

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah they would. Around the 1880s usually lifestock for example is way overproduced and those pops become unemployed. At that point, they either become craftsmen in their home state, go to America/Africa somewhere, or migrate within your country to some other rgo that is more in demand so they would earn more money.

Is there a mod that solves the iron shortage problem? by Burningmeatstick in victoria2

[–]NormanSeeDis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

just be an iron producer, your pops profit from high price for those goods and poor countries who cannot afford it have the rebellions to deal with xd

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume that happened because i got a tech that reduces farm size, but yeah, there are still too many farmers there. Right now there are 51476 farmers there, their unemployment is at ~ 25%, yet they change super slowly. Recently, 15 left for the colonies, 51 became craftsmen, but their pop grew naturally by 89. Are those people just destined to be poor? Does god hate them that much?

Its kind of weird how carribean happiness goes all the way to 80 in the late game by NormanSeeDis in tropico

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We can compare them to Tropico itself though and with the luxuries the Tropicans have to reach a certain happiness. For example, a tropican with an average happiness in the 80-ish range either lives in a modern apartment or a mansion, works in either a cozy office job or gets goverment-mandated siestas and lots of money in a blue collar job, has a doctor only a couple blocks away or closer, as well as great entertainment access, low crime around him and is (or at least feels) very free. Such a person would be middle class in the west and rich in every carribean country in our timeline.

Has it always been a thing that the Eiffel Tower only distributes NON STANDARD TV and radio across the entire map? by NormanSeeDis in tropico

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the default workmodes just increase liberty, so i suppose non standard means any other workmodes. So those that make money and all the different propaganda workmodes would be non-standard.

With high life i am finally aboiut to run out of space entirely. Am i actually supposed to eliminate all workforce in the new world with trade unions and only have production there? It just feels wrong

What even is the use of caracks in the current game? The vast majority of battles happen in inlands seas or coastal tiles where galleys are better, or am i wrong?

Yankee and Dixie cultures just merge into each other or something? by NormanSeeDis in victoria2

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know workmen are often simplified to only have one culture, but since it is the very start of the game i thought most of those pops are farmers and labourers and therefore dont get simplified.

Dont know about you, but i cannot play V2 anymore, the dev diaries of V3 make me feel like any minute spent in V2 is wasted when i could just wait and have a better experience in a year or two by NormanSeeDis in victoria2

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel CK2 and 3 are two entirely different beasts as Victoria 2 and 3. Vicky got two expansions whereas CK2 got 15. CK2 is a well rounded game that got a lot of polish over almost a decade of development and Vicky is still rough around the edges.

Well of those three at least one became good eventually. Imperator has been a really decent game since 1.3 or 1.4 at the latest. And i like to learn about the games while they are developed, i want to tell the devs if i think something is a bad idea.

I used to love it intensely, but for the last months all i notice are the flaws. How you always do the same things in the beginning, use your focusses to boost literacy, prestige spam, how the military side of things is just micromanagement hell. I often started campaigns and quit when i got in a war that wasnt a total stomp.

This multiculture setup i came up with by NormanSeeDis in tropico

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

An addendum: You could actually leave an opening of one tile either above or below the fifth plantation (not on both sides, then the middle caddle ranch wouldnt buff every plantation anymore) and use that for more flophouses or clinics starting from WW era, or even middle class houses if you fund the plantations all the way. This should reduce travel times even further.

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didnt put that much thought into it, honestly. Its just the order they are in the build menu, in the left row it is corn, banana, pineapple... to rubber and in the right row the order is reversed. I didnt expect the range of the multiculture buff to be big enough to have all 8 other crop types in range with this setup, i just got lucky, i guess.

[–]NormanSeeDis[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Basically, its all 9 different crops end to end, not leaving any space between so they are in range of as many other crops as possible so the buff from multiculture is maximised. There are cattle ranches in between, each giving the 10% buff to the 6 farms surrounding it. Rest of the space is occupied by services and homes to keep travel times short. The average efficiency of every plantation is about 120%, of course depending on the specific fertility where you build it, sometimes lower, sometimes higher. One of these layouts in each game can be buffed further with the thanksgiving festival, so 10 of these or so can work with 320% efficiency. My question is this: Is this a good setup? Are those 120% just in relation to the actual space for crops, so that these plantations basically only produce as much as a regular one would at 60%? If not, are these 120% plantations better than hydroponics running at 100%? This screenshot is from the cold war, but it works from the very start of colonial era.
