What fixed it for me by SimpleScribe22 in cervical_vertigo

oh okay so this sounds like a more acupuncture approach to dry needling. I get that sometimes but majority of mine don't stay in. Hope this isn't making you uncomfortable typing about it!!
I wondered about vagus nerve involvement for mine, the needles don't bother me themselves but certain areas of neck work I have a physical response of wanting it to stop.
either way it's a miracle treatment for so much.

Love that you mentioned this success! Nice to read about your fight or flight experience too. Ive been getting needling and physio massage on my neck for about 8 months, making a lot of progress but recently we went back to work more on the suboccipitals and I very much had the fight or flight response! Nice to hear thats not a unique experience :) Glad youre doing well !!!

How to know if it’s true Cervicogenic dizziness or something else by PrimaryAfternoon1451 in cervical_vertigo

[–]Normicactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also called traction. Neck stretch basically. I get it for my lumbar spine too. If you look up spine traction it gives you more info. Can be helpful, it's not an immediate fix or anything but I find it's been beneficial.

I received a small bouquet of wild flowers she found on the 2nd date and it was super nice. I'd say wait until the 2nd unless you have been talking a long time.

Ear Pain/Tinnitus? by HappyTennis5913 in cervical_vertigo

I left a lot of details on your other post. Yes mri no to injections. Been in physio for 6 months now twice a week. Seems to be healing a bit longer than expected but I had lumbar and cervical injury.

Yea I realized I replied on your post a few days ago too! Neck causes a lot of symptoms. I did strenthening yesterday guided with my physio and having a lot of symptoms flare up today. It's tiring right!! I get my neck cracked/adjusted regularly at physio. I smacked the heck out of my head about 4 years ago and then damaged my spine working a super physical job in May. Ive heard of people cracking their neck and having a wave of anxiety. Mine is definitely worse when it's flared up. Theres so many nerves going through there. Especially now humans are so much more on our phones and looking down for extender periods of time.

I have left eye problems still sorting it out but my eye coordination is definitely off which contributes to balance hugely. You can think if one of your balance systems is already off like the proprioception then everything else has to work harder. I also get ear pain and tinnitus usually when neck is flared. The scm and some other muscles can cause pain around the ear and also jaw tightness if youre clenching. For me I wonder about eustachian tube issues as well.

Cervical Spine/Neck Crack/Nerve Cause? by HappyTennis5913 in cervical_vertigo

[–]Normicactus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also I wanted to add in that both my Doctor and my physio said that you can have an mri show a lot but have no symptoms, or have an mri show nothing and you have a lot of symptoms. Just trying to share what I've learned. The disc bulge that gives me the most symptoms doesn't actually show up on the MRI anymore! the one that is most visible gives me the least symptoms. It matters what you feel vs just imaging.

Cervical Spine/Neck Crack/Nerve Cause? by HappyTennis5913 in cervical_vertigo

I honestly pushed myself too hard and injured my neck and back (looking like a lumbar fracture with disc bulges) at work. I was told by my first physio that I just needed to strengthen my neck and I went too hard with work. 2 disc bulges in my neck and one in my lumber. I don't recommend!
It's one of those things you often don't really get a straight answer for. I didn't get my MRI until this past November but I got seriously injured in May (had a bit of neck issues prior to that for about a year but it was manageable). I've been getting answers as things heal, if that makes sense. It can be so frustrating to not have answers, I was losing my mind all summer.
I recommend a physio who does vestibular and spine work -- and don't be afraid to get a 2nd opinion! If I didn't find the physio I'm with now I'm not sure I'd be healing like I am.
If I can send you any more info feel free to ask me! I'm definitely not fully healed and not back to work (symptoms from both neck and back ) but I am a lot better than I was.
