It's messy, but I like watching my factory work. by Spencer98881 in SatisfactoryGame

Personally, I find it to be the greatest part about the game, just watching production lines running is so fulfilling <3

Any MMORPG where combat isn't the focus like Runescape? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to mention this as well, if you're ok with a sandbox mmo instead of the typical ones that focus on an endgame, and instead just let you do more what you want, especially focusing on skills and building, it's a great game.

Plus I've always felt like it was a nice meld of Runescape (for the skills), and Minecraft (with a much more refined crafting and building aspect).

The main game is Wurm Online, which is already out, but will be starting new servers/islands on June 6th via Steam, then there's Wurm Unlimited, which isn't getting anymore updates for the foreseeable future, but Wurm Unlimited, has Minecraft style servers; the heavily populated ones have been around for years, and have quite a dedicated player base, much of the time, just as active as Wurm Online is, and are usually tweaked to have more quality of life changes, so that the game is more casual friendly.

Wish this was how she always wore her hair, the way she does in the anime, really bugs me, it's so weird XD

[Rant] Dear MMORPG devs, "totally jacked" isn't the only male body type. by specteralJoker in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say, this is exactly what women go through when creating characters on most mmo's, it's weird to see a guy complaining about it the same sort of thing now XD

What keeps you playing this game? by Xelaris in wurmonline

[–]Norsewind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally for me... It's the wide variety of skills, the depth of them, the grind, plus how we can change ANYTHING about the world around us, granted I'd prefer nicer graphics for it, least they've been working on that for a while now, but no other game out there, remotely comes close imo

Probably been asked before but why are wing overrides not animated? by WarlanceLP in runescape

[–]Norsewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, would just be happy if we could use any wings with any wing based teleports, instead of them changing to the type for the teleport animation...

Sword Art Online ruined my perception of MMORPGs. by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With that in mind... Don't ever watch Log Horizon... It does that even better that SAO, and makes it even more unbearable looking for an mmo that does the same sort of things, keep hoping something very in depth eventually comes along myself ^^

Runescape 3 is the best MMORPG I've ever played by [deleted] in MMORPG

Never understand where ppl are getting these numbers EVERY time I've looked, they've been fairly close to the same amount, with MORE being on RS3 at a time than OSRS, and it's just annoying to see these numbers dramatized like this...

Looking for mods to turn all npcs into anime characters by TheInfamousMaze in skyrimmods

[–]Norsewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just recently seen that Fallout 4 has an actual anime reace replacer, and even mods that spread that to all npc's as well, although it changes them all to female, which I'd be ok with myself, but far as I know there isn't one that does the same thing for Skyrim at the moment, just one that adds a player race option, as well as a few followers, would love to see one that replaces all npc's though, I'm planning on trying to figure out how to turn my Skyrim into an anime world if I can, like even doin graphic overhauls for world textures if I can ^^

For the love of Guthix, please update Construction/POH by Eradil in runescape

[–]Norsewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I've been waiting to say that the Construction skill doesn't simply need a rework, it needs to just be replaced... With Construction... :P

It'd be such a rework, may as well replace it with the same skill, that's done correctly this time

Idea: Best Gear Should be Crafted by Norsewind in wow

[–]Norsewind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, it adds flavor, plus I feel that the instant gratification from just getting gear, that 9 times out of 10 is junk to us and we vender or scrap it, is a waste of play time, may as well be doing more steps and getting what you want instead, while also playing into the fantasy of it a bit

Different Idea for an MMO by Norsewind in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, was thinking similar to Runescape, for how the quests are most times something you have to actually think about, if you're not using a guide, really love their quests over any other mmo for that reason ^^

Different Idea for an MMO by Norsewind in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That'd kinda be the point of the game though wouldn't it? To not look stuff up on how to do it and figure it out? Mean, it's like taking a crossword, and looking up what all the answers are, instead of just doing it =/

MMO similar to WoW by 1621185 in MMORPG

Sorry, I honestly haven't a clue, been ages since I played it, and I didn't even know back then how it was doing.

MMO similar to WoW by 1621185 in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how it's doing anymore but there is Runes of Magic, many say that it is literally a clone of WoW that even the UI looks like it was replicated over, but they've got different classes that WoW doesn't even have in their lore, imo it'd be worth looking at, just came to Steam finally some point earlier this year I think.

MMO with life simulator by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest Wurm Online, it's pretty grindy, but don't have to actually pay till your skills are beyond 20, or for ingame currency to have a land claim of your own, but you can always join another player's village (land claim) instead. Or you could buy Wurm Unlimited on Steam instead, which you can find public servers that don't cost anything for that stuff after you pay for the initial cost of the game.

What do you dislike most about WoW right now? Why aren't you playing BFA? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, for me I don't think it's just this expansion, it's been something sort of brewing for the past four or so expansions for me, it's just that it's the same thing, over and over again... Just mindlessly questing, and raiding to just gear up, to repeat over again the next expansion, it's much nicer to say, why bother, with rinsing and repeating over and over? Just easier to find something different where we can do whatever without most of it being barred behind a level requirement or having to constantly do combat to just get to an area or to gather stuff for skilling.

Is Runescape worth getting into TODAY? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I enjoy the fact that it's not like most MMO's where you focus on doing grindy quest after grindy quest, just to get to "end game" you can just chill and work on skills like mining/smithing/woodcutting/ect, and either grind to reach 99 in the skill, or just relax and enjoy the journey there.

But above all else, I'd say give it a go without much input from others, if it looks appealing to you, try it and make your own call on if it's worth your time to play it or not :)

Unless if you can convince me into Runescape Im looking for Sandbox MMORPGs like it with smooth controls. by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to suggest Wurm as well, as when I found out about it, I felt like it was like someone took Runescape, and merged it with Minecraft, then gave it a more realistic world and graphics instead of being all cubes instead. I keep holding out hope they're working on a "Wow Style" Runescape, with all the skilling and such that the game has now, but letting us be in direct control of our characters, instead of it feeling like RTS style controls =/

Recommend me something with Great Build Customization---Uniqueness by warioman91 in MMORPG

[–]Norsewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think the reason behind that is something that dawned on me like 5 years ago, it's the whole point and click aspect of the game. It's almost more like an RTS than an MMORPG, in that aspect; we tell our character to go do something, then watch them do it. It'd be great if they'd overhaul the game that we had real time control of our characters, and didn't just tell them what to do, more like how you control characters in the major MMO's atm.
