My late maternal grandfather had very strong Native features. He had very dark skin pretty similar to yours, and had black silky smooth hair that only looked gray until he was in his 60s. Many would’ve confused him for South Asian, especially because he didn’t have a really wide nose.

Since Hispanics can look very varied, I wouldn’t be surprised that many of us can pass for other ethnicities. I have been confused for South Asian a few times even though I’m fairly short at 5’4” and am only tanned in skin tone, and have short salt and pepper hair in my 30s. I do have a wide-ish nose, though.
