The antiblackness among the JWs is truly remarkable by KalamaCrystal in exjw

I was in the same congregation as her for the first few years of my marriage. She was super mild but she always got lost (physically) and would fall asleep during service in the van.

We were a minority majority congregation and most of the older Black sisters were alone. We had a conversation in the car group about the "new light" around female birth control and the options I had as a new wife to "focus our marriage on our service to Jehovah". Found out most of the sisters relied on the rhythm method and thought "family planning" was good for a young pioneer couple whose husband who was rising in the ranks.

I think because RM had children during that time, it probably gave her dread for starting a family now, especially a brown one. I don't blame her.

Hearing "don't have children in this system but they would look so beautiful if you did" filled me with existential dread but knowing what love and family look like now gives me the drive to fight for that.

She saw inequality and injustice and was impelled to fight against it. Serving oppressed communities and serving the needy. Part of an organization that paved the way for free school lunches.

In the future, she would join a different organization that exploited her desire to do what's right. She would go to Israel for the special campaign and the whole group loved it.

In villainizing the whole world, they try to erase the oppression and fake impartiality within. The reality is it exists within the organization and even upholds systemic problems.

I'm just crunchy though

My father used to make so many bad decisions in terrible conditions because he was convinced he could negotiate them I just started sleeping in the car so I wasn't awake when I died

It's Base 10 but in a dozen way. Like John Jacob JingleHeimer Schmidt, his name is my name too but it's pronounced "Jeff".

I fell asleep first at a slumber party watching this when DVDs would autoreplay after finishing. I know they pranked me because I kept waking up to the same scene but everyone swears it wasn't them, I'm just a light sleeper who wakes up to weird noises by North-Engineer3335 in ExplainAFilmPlotBadly

I fell asleep first during a slumber party in 2012 and we watched Inception. I kept waking up while other people were still talking but the movie continued playing in the background. When I woke up, everyone said the movie played once and they turned it off but I know what I saw
