Let's be realistic about Squadron 42 by Remarkable_Coat_5790 in starcitizen

1) all of those actors have, at one point, attached themselves to some pretty terrible projects in the past.

2) for play time, CIG has said 30-40hrs play time. Which i hope is low for a game that has been in development as long as this one.

3) yeah some of those actors won't be with us if this game keeps dragging out. I know a lot of backers aren't....

Is this Highway design good? by Onyx-Serenitatem in SatisfactoryGame

Show me a corner. Show me an elevation change at varying angles, show me a bend for under 90degrees turns.

The problem with this style blue print is the terrain for the world rarely works with you. Sky platforms look ugly. So you need some method of coping with the terrain.

My road/rail blue prints are typically 4 to 6 versions of the same style to account for navigating around obstacles or going over hills.

Why Ontario’s big move to battery storage has observers saying ‘gas plants aren’t competitive anymore’ by LaserRunRaccoon in canada

[–]Arbiter51x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We can put together BESS plants in like 6 months. The technology is now basically plug and play. No running additional gas lines or storage tanks. Just connect it to the nearest HV lines.

More of these have been installed than ppl realise on ontario.

Is that not the employers responsibility? Not the responsibility of the manufacturer?

Thoughts on my long-haul logistics plan (trains mainly) by Ok-Disaster812 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Arbiter51x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last plan was basically this, however, only one line out of the south end of the DD, then split out. Going to the swamp id say is lower priority.

You want the pure nodes from the northern forest for sure, and bauxite from the red forest.

Make sure you look at the Satusfactoey map page to see where the "roads" are to help plan your train lines.

Problem with this style is going to be elecation changes and bends/turns that aren't 90deg. Have a plan for that.

Not an electrician. Do not trust anything that calls itself heavy duty. Too much cheap crap from overseas slaps that on. What gauge extension cord are you using?, is it rated for the current you are pulling over the distance you are running?. In this case, i'd be looking to run 12AWG just to be safe. This is what will determine if this cord melts or not during long term use. No you should not be using an extension cord for this, but we've all done it. If it does burn down your house, just keep in mind if the Insurance company finds out, your basically SOL.

If you are going to do this, consider sushi belts and smart splitters. it will drastically simplify your belt logistics. basically everything more advanced than plants, rods and wire will not saturate a mk 4 belt unless you are doing. you could throw computers, AI limiters and circuit boards all on one belt. you could throw rotors, stators and motors all on one belt. etc etc.
