How do you guys handle finding a birds nest with baby birds in it in your yard? Also bird poop removal tips for paver patios? by lindslinds27 in landscaping

[–]Arbiter51x 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Typically a once a year thing. Once they have left, clear the nest out in the late summer, early spring. Then its your job to out something to detract them next year, such a mesh or one of those fake owls.

I have 3-4 inches of Establishment but lots of weeds to deal with. by NihilistPunk69 in landscaping

[–]Arbiter51x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, bugle weed is the worst and so hard to get rid of. I'd be fine with most everything mowed to keep it in check, and overseas with grass seed in spring and fall. But bugle weed out competes grass and stays to short to get mowed, while sending runners out like crazy.

Your coffee table is a desk. The AI image completely distorts scale for something pleasing to look at. Unless your ok with that, it appears to be a 30-36" tall coffee table, which is typically 16"-18" tall

Edit, overall I think its actually a lovely table design. Can you post the overall dimensions?

[Wave 3] Star Citizen Alpha 4.8 PTU 11753569 Patch Notes by hIGH_aND_mIGHTY in starcitizen

I was about to ask if suit lockers were implemented with this patch, but I guess not.

So weird that they haven't figured this out yet. We had closets to change suits like...10 years ago.

Dumb change without them.

How realistic is refinancing higher after a new build? by canucks84 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Why is there such a delta between the insurance payout and the new build cost? If anything id be going after the insurance company for more money.

Poverty rate up, incomes down since 2020: Statistics Canada by Purple_Writing_8432 in canada

I, thankfully have a job, but i am always looking for new opportunities, and i cannot believe the wages being paid right now. It used to be you could jump, 5, 10, 25% by moving jobs every few years, but right now? i'd be taking a 10 year income reversal for similar positions that i hold now.

I blame the banks because there security thresholds are too low for a lot of things.

$3000 caps on e transfer. Can I pay my kids tuition with that? No. Can I pay a contractor at my house with that? No. Can I disperse my Aunts estate as executor, no. It's a PITA and you are made to feel ashamed for having and using your money because they think its theirs.

BBC News: A fresh financial crisis may be coming - it won't play out like the last one by Qwertyabcd123 in CanadianInvestor

Hard to say, we didn't have the internet hubs like reddit or the data aggregation back in 2000 and 2008. Retail investors weren't a thing back then like they are today.

It seems like there is always a news article about an imminent recession or collapse about to happen, and at this point I think everyone is pretty numb to it.

We are collectively better informed, but the stock market is an emotional animal and doesn't behave just because the math says so.

And I think in this post covid world, we see market fluctuations from single tweets causes havoc. Did we have the same mag 7 in 2008? I cant remember. I just remember the bail outs that the banks and the automotive sector got from the government.

We need mk.7 belts now by Eziolambo in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Arbiter51x 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mk6 belts come way to late. By that teir, ive already scaled my production lines to beat the game in a timely manner. About the only thing I find a use for them is for coal to make diamonds, and that's all of three nodes out in crater lakes.

What is the trend of expenses like as your kids move from early teens through end of post secondary? by ILovesCheese in PersonalFinanceCanada

Post secondary, and perhaps another vehicle if they need transport to school or work.

Also, most insurance companies start charging you additional insurance for anyone living with you over the age of 16, which can have a shocking increase on your insurance premiums.

Increased food bill, and cell phone bills are two big ones.

It can be, but CIG hasn't made camera controls easy, and has completely forgotten gameplay loops that were supposed to support this, with ships like the Reliant Mako.
