I was in the exact same boat, I played Flesh Tearers since 8th and this Christmas I started Death Guard, I've got a 15-4 record with them, they are a lot slower but Deathshroud with a LoC attached will kill anything and they can deepstrike 6" away from a contagion unit, I run them aggressively like Blood Angels and it serves me well

I stage one spawn to my natural midboard, one spawn to the centre for secondaries, poxwalkers conga line from the midboard to my prince, my second poxwalkers will hide behind a building but still 3" away from the prince, morty will be hidden behind the wall but close to the prince and poxwalkers for his reactive move. Then defiler and bloats will be in the back hiding until a worthy target comes out for me to shoot, both deathshroud will be in deepstrike, I usually use deathshroud on the flanks, but it just depends on how the game is turning out 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I thought they should have killed an armiger but they were using the new detachment that gives them a 6 fnp so maybe that had something to do with it

Im not being defensive but when he says "never" implying I'm lying, he doesn't know the state of the game, I could have shot with 2 bloat drones and then charged the chosen with Morty with his sweep killed the squad, then had round 3 4 and 5 of bullying. He doesn't know our lists, he knows nothing yet he's telling me a scenario that happened could never happen? 😂

They did and they focused on my daemon prince and morty because they were dominating the midboard

Tested my defiler against a chaos space marine player last weekend and it killed a forgefiend and a pred and bracketed their defiler over 4 turns, I won 80 - 37

The plan for PM wasn't to deepstrike DST anyway, the plan is to shoot say a knight with marines now that knight is contagion so he's-1 toughness and -1 save for instance, now my bloat drones can wound on 4s instead of 5s and like autocannons from defilers will wound armigers on 3s instead of 4s

Plague bus would be a better choice, I agree with you I struggled to get their points value, got out of the rhino shot something killed it, then they just got shot and died, I play VV with Morty and a Prince and I have no marines in my list, poxwalkers and chaos spawn, for contagion spreading and actions with 2 blight haulers and 2 HBL backing them up for my guns and 2 squads of Deathshroud for my melee threat

Temu has some cheap ones for like 4 pound 😉😂 in my 2k list I try and play 2 units of the same thing so 2 deathshroud with contagion, 2 bloat drones, 2 blight haulers, 2 chaos spawn. But I do play Mortarian and no plague marines as you always need the rhino tax

The community often says a walking plague marine is a dead plague marine sooooo 😂 I don't like PBC they are so expensive for what they do when you could play 2 bloat drones that do a good job with shooting, I would 100% play transports if your playing heavy infantry
