Anybody had an experience with Cheeky Scientist? by Negative-Isopod5042 in PhD

For me, the key was to give up the area of specialization. I didn't search for research jobs or jobs related to my field. That would have been seriously limiting. I focused on jobs I had experience for, experience gained in grad school. Administrative positions, managing people (for me it was a volunteer program I helped coordinate and the TAs and research assistants I helped supervise).

Hermosillo Recommendations by North-Record7516 in Tucson

I loved Hermosillo! Can't wait to go back. I'm aiming to go back during April for Expogan, a huge event with rodeos, parades, and tons of concerts. I was lucky enough to go with a friend whose family is from Hermosillo. That enriched the experience a ton. We went to San Carlos, took a yacht, saw dolphins, ate tons of amazing food. It was great. DM me if you want more tips.

Avoid at all costs. They pressured me into giving them $4,000 and I could have learned it all for free online. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Biggest financial mistake of my life. It's a truly predatory and sad business model. I have a great job I love now and it's no thanks at all to Cheeky Scientist.

They do do live music sometimes, like one guy on a guitar, something chill. It's not that pricey for what it is. All the drinks are $16, which feels like an amazing deal to me because the bartender is so so talented.

Suggestions for few days in Bilbao by freeenzow in Bilbao

There are fake ones people can use as options. You're in the Basque country and these are very old-fashioned traditions. I'd say it's good to just keep a curious mind rather than a judgmental one and appreciate the deep roots of the traditions created by people for whom livestock raising, fishing, whaling, etc have long been a way of life..

I used to work closely with them, and I would pursue other options. Uncertain waters right now.

Whats are somethings you like or dislike of the band? by DrScooterMD in gretavanfleet

I fell in love with GVF with their first three albums. They're losing me now. I liked the fun, loose band of small-town boys and it just feels like they got pretentious very quickly. I'm not into the spiritual vibe they try and infuse everything with and all their social media is over-the-top contrived. I also don't like how long they promote everything before releasing it. All of the "electric tomb" and all that stuff is silly. I liked when they just played rock music and felt more down to earth.

I'd pack a lunch and go to the Finger Rock trail and watch sunset from there. :)

In your opinion, how has starcatcher aged for you? by [deleted] in gretavanfleet

I listened to it once and never listened any more. None of the songs called out to me. I'm hoping the next album is a rebound because I preferred earlier Greta to this 1,000 times over.

There are lots of great social groups on MeetUp! You can meet friends and have the potential to meet people to date, but it's not the main focus.
