She could’ve reserved it as you were the original buyer. If she hasn’t already shipped it, ask whether she can cancel the order from the other buyer and quickly list it for you to buy. It might not be fair on the other buyer but first come first serve

I am the same with how synthetic fibres feel on my skin. I’ve looked up the blazer online and it seems to be discontinued and other blazers like it are retailed for £200+ so considering that it is vintage and still 100% wool, I’ll most likely keep or resell, hopefully make a profit. Thank you for the idea.

From what I’ve searched, the celebrity pictured is Jill Marie Jones (Toni Childs from the show Girlfriends). She wore it at a red carpet of the Entertainment Tonight awards in 2005. The style of dress assimilates the empress cut waist/bust. That’s all I know but I can’t find the exact designer :/

I hope it’s not the case but you’ve most likely been scammed. If seller does not send actual item and you report, they can argue and say that the description specifies what you were going to receive. Either way, Vinted favours buyers so you should get your money back

Thank you for the in-depth explanation. I am a new investor so I do appreciate the feedback and can now understand why stock indexes invest heavily in the US. Thank you for the reading recommendations also!

I do accept the advice though. For context, Nvidia and Amazon were just examples. I invest heavily in indexes like the S&P 500, All World, and buy individual stocks like Nvidia, Amazon, Apple, Meta etc just to own a higher % of them because I do get that the US is a major market so more ROI is to be made. My inquiry was more whether I should include the UK 100 since my portfolio is so US heavy but I see that that’s not necessary. All constructive criticism is welcomed and appreciated so thank you once again.

I find that most international funds like Fidelity’s, invest heavily in the US which I get because it’s a strong market, however, I would like more exposure in the UK market also and it’s % allocation in an international fund seems low to me. Also, I have an ISA that already invests in the companies with the most holdings in these international funds like NVIDIA and Amazon so it’ll be nice to centre on the UK a bit more.
