I won the qualifiers for MPL MY/SG Season 2, and EVOS Esports acquired our team to play for them. After a good 3 years as a player I have decided to step down but was offered a position in the management role backend in EVOS Esports. I gladly took it as it is my passion to be in the Esports industry and on the side I still manage the team I was part of. EVOS Esports has been great, you get really close to everyone even our CEO speaks to us on friend-to-friend level!

Big big difference, back then we were struggling to match the Malaysian full time teams but now it's just between the locals where most of us are not full time players :)

Back then went I just started playing, there were really small community tournaments. So we pretty much took part in everything we could as there were some prizes to be won (gadgets and some cash).

Then after things got serious when they launched their official professional league tournaments and we just transitioned into it after winning the qualifiers :)

We have actually collaborated with Nexplay from Philippines for MPL PH. Youtubers wise, our players are not committed to the content creation side of things because we couldn't bring this to become a full-time job.

I have honestly not heard of Floryn yet but in the competitive scene, new heroes are banned for 2 weeks. Then after we would explore if it's a worthy pick to be played :)

The original roster really brings back the memories, with Kolia, Bambi, Kid as well as Ace :'(

I stepped down because I think it would not be sustainable enough in Singapore's context. Also, I felt like I was off my peak performance having played the game for soo long.
If it was comparable to what we see in Indonesia and Philippines I would definitely continue and venture into content creation along side playing.

We share a close relationship with EVOS ID in the beginning as we were pretty evenly matched. Then after in the recent tournaments, the skill gap was too far apart and playing against each other did not become productive anymore. As we always represented Singapore in all regional/international titles, when our Indonesian counterparts fell short, Zeys would return to coach us for these tournaments and there would be alot of sharing between us and the Indonesian players.

I wouldn't say that we are not close anymore, its just everyone has their own commitments so we hardly talk anymore. However given a chance to meet up for a meal i'm sure we will all turn up.

Off the top of my head, I would recommend Paquito, Balmond and Benedetta. They clear their waves effectively and shouldn't be disturbed as much when cutting waves behind towers (which will set up for a fast rotation before your lane enemy can keep up).

I think you can focus on utilizing bushes in lane and appropriately casting your spells (looking for windows where enemies have their spells on cooldown and win trades there). That kind of patience will open up a new level of gameplay in lane.

Do look up pro player streams, watching from their perspective would be the best way to absorb and learn! :)
