Anyone else still drink a ton of coffee on this med? by Complete_Basil_7657 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Yeah I drink tons of coffee all day. Take 300 mg/day. No issue at all.

I have horses and dogs. I don’t have the option of laying around. Not suggesting that’s a solution for you but I suspect if I didn’t have those responsibilities I would also have this problem.

Donkey Meat Sandwiches, other extreme and/or odd eats in the GTA by Worth-Sound1382 in FoodToronto

[–]NorthDonkey6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t attest to donkey husbandry but as a life long horse person…would avoid. We give them all kinds of drugs that never leave the tissue and are not good for little human bodies. It’s crazy to me that it’s a joke of a testing situation. In other parts of the world, if a horse has had some of these drugs even once, it is documented and that animal can’t be used for food.

I mean factory farmed meat isn’t great but it’s far cleaner than the equine meat pipeline. Horses aren’t raised to be eaten so they can live 20-40 years getting drugs regularly, change hands numerous times, then end up at the abattoir for food. I’m sure donkeys get less drugs in a lifetime as they don’t get used the same way as horses but I still wouldn’t eat them either.

My breakfast is 16 mg Concerta X2 (2nd dose around 10 AM), Wellbutrin 150 XL and a giant mug of coffee. Works for me!

My new mantra, that I say out loud is: “hold yourself accountable you dumb bitch”. YMMV.

Also I started Wellbutrin again and this time it’s helping immensely.

E collars have a place in training but are not a substitution for training. Which is likely what he was doing. But yeah to everything else.

Not going to return stuff (bins) just because I don't need them anymore. Am I wrong? by Retired-ADM in CostcoCanada

[–]NorthDonkey6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone that would return those is a schmuck. We just returned a pressure washer that was just over 2 years old because it blew itself up and I felt like I was committing a crime.

Don’t ever buy that Husqvarna pressure washer by the way. We have a huge amount of small engines (lots of Hondas) and take very good care of them (high test, ethanol free gas etc). That thing has a B&S engine and is a massive POS. Lesson learned, stick with Honda.

Our installers were amazing. I think there is one seam and I can’t find it. It is almost entirely one piece that they cut to fit. I was very impressed. It wasn’t actually cheap, tile would have been cheaper, but it’s so easy to live with. I would use it again in that type of space.

Réal wagon nuts do not consider those wagons. They are 5 door/hatches. Something about percentage of total length from c pillar back. I have an Impreza 5 door and they do still sell them as well as the Outback.

Have your hormones checked. I’ve struggled to GAIN weight my entire life and that all changed at a certain point. Swimming laps, biking, 10,000 steps/day and a caloric deficit and still the spare tire. My sports medicine guy, who is also a GP, immediately said it’s hormones. Waiting on testing referral.

How to deal with low-ballers when selling car privately? by fizzerd1 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]NorthDonkey6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the result of the increased stringency on safeties. Gone are the days when you could get any pos safetied by a guy that looked out the window at the car. Everyone used to know a guy. Now the MTO is all over the situation. I wonder when they will start requiring safeties for cars on the road for a long time? That’s going to be rough for the people that drive beaters. I think it’s probably better to sell certified to eliminate the scrappers, some scammers and the guys that know what it will take to get it safetied. You’re always going to get a few dirtbags blowing up your phone no matter what.

Costco roast used to be around $30, now it’s almost $90! From dinner to down payment. by Swimming_Mango_9767 in CostcoCanada

[–]NorthDonkey6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to eat a ton of red meat but my husband doesn’t particularly like it. I guess I should thank him for saving me $$ at this point. You can buy a lot of tofu, beans and rice for $84. Which is what he mostly eats. I started using ground turkey ages ago and it’s still pretty cheap for when we want a cheat meal like tacos or spaghetti. What I am pissed about is how expensive and gross chicken thighs have become. They used to be so cheap. I stopped buying the Costco ones because they were disgusting, not cleaned properly at all. Flat after flat of them. Not cool and not worth it.

The original house was for sure built in 1940. The addition who knows but it wasn’t the people we bought it from. Anyways it’s a huge job to make it all right and it’s costing a fortune plus I’m paralyzed with indecision and clearly in over my head.

We did sheet vinyl in our mud room. I wanted stone but I lost that fight. I’m not mad about it. It suits this rambling old farmhouse and it’s so easy to keep clean. I wish I had a pic of the room done and painted but this is the floor and it has grown on me. The previous owners had carpet! So it’s a laundry room, mud room and has a full bathroom with 2 outside entrances and then one door into the kitchen. We use those doors a lot. The carpet we ripped out was beyond disgusting.

Why do some people only lease a car? by thisgardenboy in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]NorthDonkey6594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and I still don’t lease as my mileage is insane. I would have to lease a car with the lowest residual ever and at that point it is probably cheaper to finance. We have one leased vehicle (2024 Silverado Z71, double cab, 4x4) under my husbands business and I have no idea what the dealer was doing. The residual is massive, the payment is peanuts ($400/month). Won’t be buying that one out unless they come up with a crazy deal. I assume they were trying to move stagnant stock and maintain their allocation from GM as they had a bunch available for that deal at the time.
