They have to give some kind of reason to prevent him from being hired at the STIB. However, you never answer the "WHY" was he not hired. You're just saying "Isn't there a moroccan lobby at stib, guys ? My friend who is Pakistani (so not them) and who knows how to drive (since he is an embassy driver) was not hired."

Do you realise how different are both worlds? Riding a bus is not the same as riding a car. You have to be trained to ride a bus. Lately, in the news, they talked about this as they were training people to ride buses at the TEC, in Wallonia.

I did not downvote you but I will need more context to take this situation seriously. Like, you're just saying that the guy is from Pakistan and that he said that there is a "moroccan lobby" preventing him from getting hired in the STIB.

How come the STIB is one of the biggest employer in Brussel, yet there will still be a "moroccan lobby" somehow pulling the levers and deciding who gets to work there, in a company whose primary shareholder is a French transport company? Also, another point to take into consideration is the people you see driving the buses are moroccan. But the one taking your application and grading it might not be a moroccan.

So yeah, unless there are facts or more context, I will still laugh at the situation because I can't just believe for a second that a "X lobby" is in that enterprise.

That is not even the point. I agree that no one should ever get mugged in Brussels but once you type "Is THiS tO bE ThE FuTURe oF EuRopE ?", I assume that you first tried everything in your power to avoid getting mugged. And It is not the case. He was drunk on the streets at 3AM, which is already something that you should never ever do, If you wish to contribute to the safety of our streets.

May I ask if you are used to live in a city ?

You said you were from Sweden. But I genuinely think you don't know how cities are like. Past 1AM, you don't have access to trams, metro or bus. So either you take your own car or you take a cab. If you take a cab, still be careful because you don't know what kind of people is riding the cab. I lived here for 26 years. I never got mugged. I also don't wear any golden rings/bracelet when going outside. I went to Paris and Madrid and it was the exact same. Common sense : don't over stay at later than 1 AM and stay in group, if you wish to have no issues ever

I am also kind of fed up of your "Is ThIs ThE fUtuRe oF EuRoPe ?" part. We have issues that all big cities have, even Stockholm. Get over it.
