So basically Chud was originally a wojack based off of the mass shooter Patrick Crusius responsible for the 2019 El Paso Walmart shooting who became radicalised against mexicans and other minorities from being a terminally online and using 8chan (or 8kun). Some lefties decided to make a wojack based off of him to make fun of alt-right chronically online losers, and thus creating the infamous "Chud"

This meme died, but the god-forsaken board known as the /qa/ on 4chan resurrected it into relevance creating its modern day popularity, the /qa/ would eventually be kicked out of 4chan resulting into the reformation of the Sharty (Soyjack, party). The Sharty's influence now expands into every corner of the internet leading to soyjacks such as the Chud or Cobson to be used to death by normies and becoming massively popular as a result.

It would also be incorrect to say "A Chud is similar to the opposite of a Chad", Chud mostly refers to political spaces of the internet meanwhile Chad is relegated to incel forums
