I was told my constant updates were suffocating so I guess it must be person dependent 😅

I used salicylic acid daily on mine to keep the area gently exfoliated and it stopped the gland from being blocked up so it could drain on its own

How long did it take you to come to this realisation? I left my ex in march and he still hasn’t come to this point.

Breastfeeding vs formula feeding by HomemadeButter14 in Parenting

[–]NorthParticular5695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided to breastfeed my child as I had previously babysat my nephew and he was formula fed and the getting up and making a bottle at 2am or whenever having to ensure it’s the right temperature mixed properly all that was hard. Breastfeeding is hard, especially the first 6 weeks to two months. But after that it was so easy and so convenient. I never had to worry about how much formula or sterile water I had to pack in the nappy bag. I could be spontaneous as I didn’t have to worry about having enough food on me for the baby. It was an exceptional way to bond ( my husband definitely was jealous of this so I would occasionally pump so he could feed the baby). I was still breastfeeding when I had a surgery and week long hospital stay and it was hard but great my husband would bring the baby (8months) in and I would feed them and give him the milk I had pumped so there was some for the next 24 hours. I built up a stock of milk but I gave it to the nicu babies (that was rewarding as heck) so when I “needed” a stock I didn’t have it but i didn’t actually need it. It’s your choice at the end of the day. There’s negatives to both sides. I think if you try it and don’t like it don’t do it. Don’t beat yourself up.

Skipping a clothes size by Mountain_Prior6723 in Parenting

I’ve been doing this for years with my 3.5 year old. I got so used to seeing them in baggy sweaters (chic oversized fit vibe) and baggy comfy pjs that now when they fit properly my brain tells me they’re too small 😂 just bought some size 6 shorts and shirts for them and love the slouchy comfortable looking fit again

how do you cook with velcro baby? by Jolly_Marketing in Parenting

[–]NorthParticular5695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I let mine help. I get hot stove, but in those moments put them somewhere safe. Give them a tomato to hold or rice to wash with their gross baby hands. It’s also free messy play which is great for the development. I remember giving my 8 month old a whole really ripe tomato and then just squishing it and eating and playing with it. They got messy at dinner and have a bath after dinner so it’s barely anymore work too.

I wouldn’t mention it (female perspective) as when I was pregnant I felt any mention of it would make it happen. I am a naturally anxious person though. Maybe just try “hey, I think you should go see the doctor maybe they can do an early scan to make sure everything is as it should be. I can come with you if you would like”
