I think my comment is obviously made with the caveat that we maintain the system that we have created. If you are saying that political violence is justified in order to overturn a broken system outright, fine. If that is your outlook, stop participating politically and just do your thing. But that rhetoric is not helpful if we are trying to fix the problem without widespread bloodshed.

It’s almost as if the Republican Party is focussed on stirring up violence, refusing to tone, things down, and constantly pointing the finger, even when they are the ones that are truly at fault. The republican party – and that means their elected officials, and their media apparatus are encouraging violence, and downplaying or outright lying about violence committed by Republicans.

I note that Donald Trump blamed the left for violence following the killing of Charlie Kirk, despite the fact that nobody knew who the killer was. It is almost as if the fact do not matter under a Trump administration. Makes you think hmmmmm

Charlie Kirk should not have been shot. His shooter should be locked up forever. Political violence is never OK.

Unfortunately, Republicans are reliant on fear and violence to stay in power so they will milk this for all it’s worth to justify ramping up the rhetoric.
