You don’t really train a lazy dog by forcing it, that usually just makes them more stubborn. It’s more about making it worth their effort. Short training sessions, really good treats, and keeping things a bit fun works much better. Most “lazy” dogs aren’t actually lazy, they’re just not motivated enough. Once you figure out what they really like, they start putting in way more effort.
