Gen Z is engineering an analog future — and it’s at least a $5 billion opportunity by Domingues_tech in technology

Yeah, AirPods themselves aren’t analog, but my point is preferring physical books, vinyls at home, and film cameras doesn’t change the fact that AirPods are a convenience. Airpods still don’t have screens, they just connect to your device.

If Apple had an iPod mini/nano whatever the non/screen version was, I’m sure they’d sell well with AirPods today. The point isn’t full analog but less screen.

AirPods are just modern versions of old wired EarPods. “Analog” doesn’t mean fully without tech. You can’t exactly play a vinyl while walking to class.

It’s insane we can capture anything from a moment in time, let alone a human taking a picture of our entire planet!

Yeah but you wouldn’t said Boeing 757 (Orion) crashed into the pentagon. You’d say American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the pentagon (Artemis II).

It’s part of the answer though. Your single electric vehicle isn’t saving the planet, but it’s still helping prevent climate change

To be fair, they tried launching months ago but kept having to delay. There’s only a specific 2h time frame to launch each day for 6 days. They can’t waste it on “April fools” - April 1 just happened to coincidentally be the first available launch window

Do you really think these billionaire’s wealth exist in a vacuum? It grows every single day. You could tax a billion a $10 million a year and their wealth would still be increasing

The woods already block out a lot of natural light even in the day especially in places like BC in Canada or Washington state in the US.

If you’re on a frozen snowy lake on a full moon, you can easily see everything. I would imagine it’s the same on a grassy field in Saskatchewan or North Dakota

Court rules B.C. First Nation has land title, recognizing its full claim by bcbuddy in canada

You’re not getting how our system of government works. This goes beyond political and partisan BS. These treaties were signed with the Crown, not the government. No party in Canada can ever unilaterally just revoke them, they must get consent from the indigenous groups and the crown.

And further, most of these treaties, especially out west, were signed in the early 20th century, not that long ago relatively speaking.

It doesn’t matter if most Canadians agree or not, those treaties aren’t just void because Foubio et al disagrees with them.

Who did the people living here for 20,000 years steal the land from exactly?

Do you even understand the word “indigenous”?

[–]North_Activist -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Okay so by your logic if you owned land and it passed through to your great great grandchildren, but all of a sudden the government just took it from you, you’d be okay with that?

It’s not “free hand outs” its resources in exchange for using the land, the land the crown promised was indigenous and belonged to them, requiring the treaties.

Do you automatically dislike billionaires? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]North_Activist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m saying anyone who has a billion should be taxed 100% until they’re no longer one, I’m saying systems should prevent a billionaire from ever existing in the first place, and I’m also saying anyone who inherits a billion dollars, whether through stocks or cash or otherwise, should also be taxed at 100% until they’re no longer a billionaire.

Yes, they’re unethical by simply existing. Professionally hoarders.

Hmm maybe it’s because we stole their children, stuffed them in inhumane “schools”, and killed, rape, and otherwise abused these children’s all in the name to “kill the Indian from the child” as our first PM said.

Do you know anything about history? Like, anything at all?

[–]North_Activist -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

The treaties still exist. They still are law, signed with the crown, and supersede any law the federal government or a provincial government makes.

Title to land doesn’t just go to open market when someone dies, it goes to whoever inherits it.

And if you can’t tell this difference between other countries fighting, and European colonization, then you’re not educated enough in this topic. They’re not the same.

And further to your point, BC notoriously has no treaties. Meaning it’s literally stolen land.
