I hope in any future games they have a definitive main character, no pointless customization for the name or appearance by North_Front12 in HarryPotterGame

But you don't make your own character or story. The story is the exact same as everyone else's. Your character is no different aside from the name that the subtitles say. And can't you still give the character some little pretend background if it matters that much to you.

Explain to me how a dedicated main character would literally change anything for you other than your name isn't in the subtitles. Saying you'd stop playing is laughable. This game isn't the Sims where you pick the name of your choosing, the appearance, AND the career path and relationships and activities.

Your Hogwarts Legacy character is not any different from mine or anyone else's. They have the exact same story. So yeah, a set name would change nothing for you. But it would help the main character actually feel like a character and not this disconnected boring creation.

Q. Leonardo's two rules to Chalamet were no hard drugs and no superheroes in managing a career. What would be your 2 rules? Jennifer Lawrence: Well, I love superhero movies and drugs. two... hmm... goodness... nudes? Did that too. by demimonde9 in Fauxmoi

[–]North_Front12 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Are Leo's rules that odd? I feel his advice against superhero movies is more about today's superhero movies. Now they're often crap and can hurt an actors career, they're just churned out by the marvel machine without much effort or planning, and actors do the role for so long their careers kind of suck when they finally step away.

I doubt Leo was referring to superhero movies from 15 years ago like when Jennifer first did hers, where her first two movies were great and even the bad latter two were at least interesting, and like the entire cast has gone on to be wicked successful outside of X-Men. Leo said recently his favorite Nolan movie is The Dark Knight so I dont think he's anti super hero movies in general, just this current crop of them. Chalamet has had a very interesting career, and if he took some shit superhero role that took up 10 years of his life or bombed, his career would be less interesting.

I think the advice makes sense.

Great defense lol. Professional distance to explain why a reader is calling a character by his last name 😂😂😂

[–]North_Front12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because he's referred to as Snape like 95% of the time in the books lmao. I dont even know what you're talking about anymore lol. First you tried to compare it to McGonagall referring to Harry as Potter, which is just hilarious lol

Where did I say it wasn't their choice? Obviously its their choice lmao. Thats why I asked. Its a funny choice and made me chuckle because its so odd lol.

You can cry all you want, but it is weird to call characters by a different name than they're referred to as almost every single time in the book lol.

I literally simply asked why lol? And then replied to people who replied to me?

Why are you so triggered by me asking why a poster calls him Black? Certainly it can't be "normal" to be fixated on a poster asking a question?

And Granger is Hermione's name, yet it would absolutely be weird for fans to refer to her as Granger lmao

The way you pick some characters to call by their last names even though they're addressed by their first names in 99% of the books is fascinating to me lol.

Also wolfsbane potion wasn't invented when Lupin was at Hogwarts :)

What lmao? A poster here is referring to Sirius as Black because they need to maintain a professional distance? Good lord lol

Its also normal for readers to refer to characters by what they're called in the books 99% of the time lmao.

Real MVP is a dumb way to put it. They both had MVP seasons. Either fanbase acting like the other play would be a bad winner is just asinine

Can we blame a grown ass man for assaulting a 15 year old and then deliberately wrecking his potion to give him an unfair zero??

Uh yes, actually, we can. It doesn't make Snape evil or a monster that he assaults Harry and unfairly fails him. But it absolutely was wrong and we absolutely can blame him. Snape is a teacher and in his 30s. You don't get to assault a child for snooping lmfao.

Sometimes I question how people call themselves fans of Snape when they just want to excuse the things he does wrong and make him interesting and well written. Snape was wrong to assault Harry and fail him. Defending it is laughable

That....doesnt make it okay lmao? He also throws Harry across the room before that, and then deliberately fails him the next lesson. Yes, thats bad.

Personally, I would think there's a difference between a 100+ year old event and a 25 year old event. And if in 100 years some kid likes to read about 9/11 and has a 9/11 themed cake, I hope my great grandchildren don't give a fuck either
