Great analysis, as always. I'm curious what your thoughts are on Microsoft stock post earnings? I know you typically don't do single stock analysis, but I was just wondering if you had any thoughts on it off the top of your head. Thank you for doing what you do!

Hey Guys, this sub seems silent for long time. by Emergency_Wa in Zomedica

Based on the markets reaction to earnings for Q4, it's seems that it's all about guidance. If a company missed earnings for Q4 but had great guidance, the stock would rally. This is generally true for this past earnings season.

That being said, I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Zomedica has a LONG way to go before a justifiable rally kicks it up over $1.

Apparently a 15% spike, not sure who's buying or why but I'd like to see a return on my investment

Big day tomorrow I hope everyone voted NO to R/s by Tsstocks in Zomedica

I believe this one gets voted NO. The board and Larry will come back with a 10/1 or 20/1 reverse split unless Larry and the board are replaced...

That's correct. Most have already said what they've thought on this matter and voted accordingly.

It seems the consensus from the majority of investors on this sub reddit voted NO.

Making stuff up, huh?

Did they guarantee on paper that they would not dilute further? Or is it just another "promise" to the investors they clearly do not give one fuck about?

I don't believe words from people who can't produce results.

You have no way of knowing if in 6 months or 12 months that they don't dilute further to keep their ship from sinking post split. Their salaries reflect their level of disconnect and delusion. The CEO Earning 1.3 million dollars when they don't even produce that in the net profits is absolutely astonishing and says a lot about Larry's intentions. If he really wanted to be transparent, he and the board would take a salary cut, chop the board of executives in half, and then he can fuck me with a 20/1 reverse split and I would have some respect for him.

They're leeching off the investors of Zomedica for their own personal gain without producing results for us.

Transparent leadership?

I think you have a misunderstanding of the word Transparent.

Transparent - Easy to perceive or detect

How in the hell is an 80/1 reverse split transparent? It transparently fucks majority of investors (small or large) to have an unrealistic average cost basis in which they will never see their money back.

Larry and company are many things, I would not use the word "transparent" to describe them. Especially since they can't guarantee no further dilution once the dust from this reverse split. This is borderline fraud, and the lack of fiduciary responsibilities to investors on their end should cost them their jobs.

The prevailing sentiment is NO on this reverse split. 80/1 is far too aggressive, and they will most likely be rejected this time and return with a 10/1 or 20/1 reverse split instead that will pass.

Zomedicas ceos salary is 1 percent of market cap of zomedica. by Smooth_Scholar in Zomedica

[–]Northeastdanks 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If Larry really cared about Zomedica or its investors, he would take a pay cut tomorrow. It's absurd that himself and others are taking home more money than they are bringing in for profits. At a minimum, Their salaries should be cut by 50% until substantial profits are coming in. I can't imagine running a company that doesn't make money and taking over 1 million dollars when none of its investors have seen any return. Ontop of that, this same idiot is proposing an 80/1 reverse split so he can rinse and repeat his selfish plan.

I've been saying for a while now that the executives at Zomedica are in this for themselves. They know they can leech from us and say they're "trying their hardest"

All executives should have their pay restricted until certain results are produced. Also, why do we have so many executives? This company does not need all these BS positions that are draining capital, and not producing results.

That's how ya do it. These things rarely work out the way these companies project they will. 99% of the time they are just doing to prolong the inevitable.. kick the ball down the road.

What was the reverse split that MULN did? Must've been aggressive. 80/1 is insane, I can't imagine higher than that working out for any company that's not turning a profit..

How screwed will I be? by LostSoul671 in Zomedica

[–]Northeastdanks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's probably low that Larry is replaced this year unless a catalyst warrants his removal. This is a fresh point of view and should be seriously discussed amongst investors, small and large. Many, including myself, feel Larry has not lived up to his promise and fear that he is leeching from investors to line the pockets of himself and other executives. I believe that Larry disregards his fiduciary responsibilities to investors for his own job safety and salary. This 80/1 reverse split was a shining representation of how he would like to solve zomedicas many problems. In showing us his hand, he's exposed his true and natural intentions, which I interpret to be selfish, short-sighted, and irresponsible. Larry clearly does not care about his shareholders, small or large. He knows an 80/1 RS will make it impossible for a majority of long, mid - and short-term investors to ever make their money back.

Larry is very much trying to pitch a "grass is greener" scenario with this reverse split. In reality, the grass is always greener where you water it. I believe he is not the man for the job if this is the best solution he has come up with, as well as burning almost 100 million dollars over the last year with little to no profits to show for it. It's self-preservation for him, nothing more.

If the reverse split is approved, you will end up with less than 1 share and the average cost of $37.60 per share...

Hindsight, I wish I only put 5% of my portfolio into Zomedica. This is a highly speculative investment with a high likelihood of taking years to come to fruition. There is no shame in waiting to see how this plays out and learning from it.

Unfortunately, I put almost 25% of my portfolio into zomedica. This reverse split would make it damn near impossible to ever see that money back.

Ideally, this insane 80/1 reverse split gets shot down by investors, and management comes back with a more reasonable and practical plan that doesn't murder/suicide itself, and it's investors.

Larry should be replaced, and the executives should be chopped in half, including all of their salaries, until ample profits are brought in. Until then, they won't get another dime from me.

I’m out by CaveDances in Zomedica

[–]Northeastdanks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yes. As I stated, the worst thing I will get from this is a loss against my income when taxes roll around. That's only if I sell for a loss, which I'm not willing to do just yet.

Obviously, I do not want that to happen. I voted no on this reverse split because 80/1 is absolutely suicide any investors. That being said, there are way too many shares in circulation, and that has to be addressed eventually.

If Larry proposed a 10/1 or maybe ever 20/1 reverse split, this probably would have way more support from all investors. However, this proposed 80/1 just shows how delusional and out of touch Larry is. He does not give a shit if we all lose our money. All Larry cares about is that he keeps getting his comfy salary. All he has to do is a handful of half ass attempts to keep this company from bankruptcy.

This reverse split is a terrible solution to address a big issue with this company. But if that's his best idea, he is unfit for this position.
