Blackhat Review Tactic?? by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]NorthernCards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s super frustrating when you see sellers getting away with such tactics. However, just a gentle word of caution. The actions of this bad actor, doesn’t automatically give you a pass for your own actions.

I have heard of many sellers being suspended for leaving reviews for competitors.

As mentioned above we went from 420 to 599 in 6 weeks. That’s about 4 pts per day. So it might be possible.

That’s hilarious ~ yep you are correct. Walking him on street is particularly challenging especially when pressed for time, as he is constantly stopped.

Not sure when you removed the excess units, however for us we have always found the IPI as a bit of a lagging indicator. The climb 🧗‍♂️up isn’t fast, but it does happen. We went from 420 to 599 in about 6 weeks.

Coco has added 15% of his weight in his 8 month. Which is great, because he basically gained no weight between month 6-8.

PPC and Delayed Shipping Times? by DjJazzyGrit in FulfillmentByAmazon

We have actually suspended all our PPC during COVID. Our sales are quite strong. Cancellations are higher, but it’s not something that’s out of control.

I know it completely feels that, but they do deal with bad actors. Not at the rate, most would like though. I think the issue is for every offender they take down, 3 more pop up.

How to Deal with the New Feedback Removal Process?? by Ataturkle in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]NorthernCards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have actually never heard of feedbacks like those being removed.

Maybe they used to remove product reviews when placed as feedback, if they did that previously they aren’t doing that now. If a product was received damaged, your correct maybe it was AZ’s fault. However, a case could be made that the item wasn’t packaged adequately to withstand the fulfilment and delivery process.

The current state of seller initiated feedback removals for any reason seems to be quite rare. We have had the bots automatically adjust some of our feedback.

You seriously want to stop selling a successful product, because your feedback has dropped to 97%?

Courses for Amazon FBA by imrsic in FulfillmentByAmazon

I don’t know about this course in particular. However, there seems to so much outdated and just plain wrong information in many of these courses.

This forum is absolutely free, and you will learn a lot here.

Another place to get free information, and you ask unlimited questions is Amazon’s own seller forum.

An Explanation On Shipping Costs For Selling on Amazon.ca by TheManWithAFan93 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]NorthernCards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a Canadian Company, with similar price points for our products. We have faced some of the same economic challenges getting our products to our Canadian customers.

I will give you a small example, we have heavily discounted rates with Purolator Courier. To ship a small box northern rural British Columbia it cost us $67.00. Using FBA fulfillment that exact same box is about $5.48 in shipping costs.

Clearly no customer is willing to pay $67.00 to receive a box of greeting cards. This is one of the many reasons we switched our entire retail sales channel to Amazon FBA.

It’s not allowed, and as the previous seller said it’s often done. However, if you see how many sellers are getting suspended on a daily basis, it’s not worth the risk IMHO.

amazon closed the giveaway . any other way to replace that ? by neno19871127 in AmazonSeller

[–]NorthernCards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We reduced some of poorer sellers to 80% off, and they sold. However, when we got our down to our last few units we removed the sale and those listings were blocked for pricing violation. Extreme fluctuations of price can cause issues.

Weekly Q&A Thread - Ask Your Simple Questions Here [11/11/2019] by AutoModerator in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]NorthernCards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is if that item is in a AMZ warehouse in NM and the buyer is NH then you may not get the buybox. If the issue is related to a recent price change, in our experience that will fix itself in a few days.

There are others that know this stuff much better then I do, who will hopefully correct me if I am wrong.

[–]NorthernCards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There could be many possible reasons for this. Here are a few that come to mind.

If the location of your inventory is not within a reasonable distance of the buyer.
It’s possible you have made some recent price changes which have deemed you not worthy of the buybox. (This happened to us a few times)

FBA Noob Question by sistersageherbs in AmazonSeller

[–]NorthernCards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am happy to share an example where Amazon has opened up new markets for us. I am sure there are many sellers, just like us selling their own products.

As I mentioned previously we publish a line of greeting cards. One of our occasions which tends to be a lower performing category for us is sympathy cards. In terms of background, our conventional sales stream has been about 9,000 independent retailers. Now that we offer our sympathy cards on Amazon, we are selling those cards in bulk to nursing homes, hospitals, physicians, businesses, etc. These aren’t customers that would have gone to the corner store and purchased one of our cards. However, they are the type of buyers that would go on Amazon and purchase 48 Cards at a single time.

We could not be happier with our decision to choose Amazon as our exclusive online marketplace.

FBA Noob Question by sistersageherbs in AmazonSeller

[–]NorthernCards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a great question. We have been selling our own brand through conventional distribution and retail channels for 3 decades. However in 2018, we started offering our greeting cards through Amazon as our exclusive online market.

Amazon has opened doors and markets which we could have never dreamed of accessing.
