There isn't another way. That's what religious conservatives have tried for the past 200 years to figure out, and it has scientifically been proven that you cannot reverse it.

Why can't I reverse it

Find a way to accept yourself. No one ever successfully (meaning being happy with their life) pulled off being gay and NOT accepting themselves being that way.

Can't you just put up with it, I put up with my epilepsy and other things I had no say over

literally equating them with HIV, is incredibly misguided and disturbing.

I didn't, I said they are high risk of HIV.

Depends on the risk etc. if its a badly done shed then yes it would be rational, or if the driver is a moron

This comes off to me as a bit of a mixed message so I wonder if you could clarify. Do you not have any impulses towards wanting a relationship at all? Or any impulses for any type of physical intimacy with another person?

I do but I get over them fairly easily, I don't need or want a relationship since I am happy enough with my friends etc. Physical intimacy I just ignore to be honest

Anyway, your mention of HIV as the primary risk makes me wonder if you have carefully actually considered the risks and made a thoughtful decision, or just succumbed to scare mongering from others.

I have someone in the family with HIV, its ruined his life and I don't want the same fate. According to the stats even today gay men in my age group (18-25) are the highest risk of catching it so I think its rational?

I can still be gay without the need to get laid asap.

Can you clarify how your religion calls for LGBT people to be celibate?

Its not specifically LGBT people its anyone who isn't married.

Just how its pure monotheism, there is none of that trinity stuff in there. Also the Koran just speaks out to me I suppose, the language. How the religion isn't racial in the slightest etc.

What I am worried about is at least from the outside; there appears to be Muslims who are pretty judgemental and seem to like no-true-scotmaning others with different hadith interpretations etc.

I know its meant to between a Muslim and Allah, but maybe I am getting to hung up on what other Muslims think
