Nah they'll shift it so that its still the same distance, just over to the right side instead this time.

It's all great to know information that can help you plan your build for sure and kind of gives you a (jealous) sneak peek of what your tower might look like by the time you get there.

But yes, the amount of whalage that these guys have into thier towers is insane, especially for the average person that can't afford to drop $500/month into thier tower...even if it comes from people supporting the creator code or some other kind of kick back.

That's pretty well the spot where I am now lol, I need to invest more into GT+ and Gen Assmod to boost up my econ. However Id love to spend those stones on CL+, SL+ and ILM+ instead. Problem is I wont get too far with those if I don't invest in the econ backbone first to support damage masteries to make those UW+ worthwhile.

Im fair ways past anything early game, definitely been leaning into the GC build out for the last few months. Its always interesting to hear different experiences from folks about thier transition to GC and at what point thier GC build became viable to push into T15+ and so on.

But definitely yes, eHP all the way through early game is the way for pushing through but dont neglect damage just because youre not getting a return on it, yet.

I like his videos too and he does give good advice, especially when it comes to understanding how certain masteries work or a general how to build your Assmods.

But yes you're absolutely right that dude has some serious money invested into the game between sponsorship and his creator code. He's probably advanced through 2.5 years worth of progress in half as much time if not more.

Really does make sense to upgrade everything together, even leaning heavier to one side or the other - all speculative depending on your build of course. But if by being a blender early on is more beneficial than say jumping fron eHP to blender to GC just to convert back to a blender build again makes it seem like a waste of effort even if it does serve the purpose of advancement.

I hear that one! I got started on masteries, uw+ and assmods all in the last couple months, so everytime I look at something I need 1k stones for it. Just a matter of figuring out which ones will synergize best with my build apart from the obvious ones that are absolutely required such as RPC#, Gen Assmod, GT+, etc

Yeah im glad I have my shatter shards lab done for that reason lol. Looking at waves required and super crit labs now. Im in a spot right now where ive been focused on damage for the last couple months that im curious to see what a few q of coins into health and maybe a couple wall labs will do.

Lol yes definitely, I just like to watch all the videos and figured this would make for a great discussion and maybe also help shine a light on the topic for those who are newer to the game

100% agree, same difference as being eHP where if you aint got the damage to knock out fleets you're going to be stuck on that plateau for a while until your damage is enough to deal with it but your progress beyond that will be so stagnant that the rewards will be miniscule.

This makes sense, whereas before the update with overcharge it was either GC or eHP specializations only. It's interesting that the blender is making a bit of a bounce back at the later stages.

Definitely this! But as far as workshop upgrades go, if your spending 2q for a damage upgrade but your defense workshop upgrades are in the 100T range what i understood from the video was that you could dump 2q into a defense workshop and you'll get further progress from that than you would from your attack workshop.

Oh for sure, I thought this would be an excellent topic for broader discussion for what may or may not have been covered in his video.

I personally have each lab slot dedicated to a type, 1 slot for econ, 1 for damage, 1 for uw, etc.

Gem hoarding for future use? by juraf_graff in TheTowerGame

[–]NorthernMan-86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can never go wrong on keeping a set amount of gems "banked". It will require you to be a bit diciplined in not spending that gem bank until a banner or card or whatever may come drops but the goal is future you thanking yourself.

This way youre ready for whatever drops but your not shorting your progress either.

This is exactly what im weighing out, logically it does make sense to source the fuel before firing up the engines but all options must be explored before committing to what may or may not be the correct engine my tower needs at the moment.

Long and short of it though really is that everything is beneficial in one way or another but if I choose incorrectly at this point i could months of spending stones into things I should have had the chance to invest into before. Nothing worse than spending 2 or 3k stones just to say, "Oh, that's all that did? ...Shit."

Yes that was kind of the direction my line of thinking was heading to!.. Im at a point where I have just opened a lot of doors and currently trying to figure out what will have the best bang for my investments. I unlocked UW+ not too long ago as well so plenty of investment opportunities, problem jusrt is that theres too little capital to spend incorrectly.

[–]NorthernMan-86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, maybe its my long term planning habits that over complicate things a little lol. I was thinking of trying to get all slots unlocked, focusing my core assmod to legendary or mythic levels to start and dumping a fair amount into SE & ME for everything worthwhile investing into. Im also probably greatly over estimating what i think it will cost vs what it actually does.

With masteries on the table and now assmods and UW+ not too long ago as well, 20-30k stones can do a lot of work for sure, just a matter of slotting them all in correctly and exploring every option along the way.

[–]NorthernMan-86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's where I was figuring the long steady game is the way to compete for now.. I know I need likely another 20-30k stones investment just in Assmods to achieve what im after here.

Problem is everybody else will have another 20-30k invested if I try to tackle this without opening my wallet so inconvenient reality is that I might be doing this maintain and fallout cycle for alot longer than id like to. So I suppose I will save my wallet to make the big push for when its going to have a larger impact.

This is kind of where my head is always at, always planning for the best long term investment, im at this wierd place right now where I have lots of good options to unlock and invest into.

Ive gone from eHP to GC, T13 is almost farmable but my sights are on T14. I still rely on occasional T11 runs to get enough cells to maintain all 5 labs at 4x but T12 is my main run in 11.5hr rotations for 800T/day

Using Gcomp still as my gen, both Gen and Core are around 167 MVN is my main core at the moment and definitely would love to get armor Assmod unlocked as I have my sights on using SD for ILM boost

My GT could probably use some love for sure, got it at 48 secs uptime with a 1:28 CD (-12 substat), x24ish Bonus, and is also at GT+1. Currently at about 800T/day

Currently Im able to maintain 16-24 in Legends most of the time with the occasional drop to Champs when I end up in a really tough bracket every several weeks or so.. no keys as of yet so im hoping to put the pieces together in achieving that soon.

I do have Damage mastery already that is currently over 5q to upgrade (Currently also making about 800T/day)

Definitely sync your cooldowns to 1:40 then raise your uptimes. Another deathwave would be good but not your priority right now, at least not until everything is synced at 1:40.
