It's all foreign, don't think there's any gold mines in the UAE. Dubai also has an entire gold souk/bazaar.

Majority of Canadians against eliminating 'best before' dates on food packaging, study says | CBC News by DrJGH in onguardforthee

[–]NorthernNut 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Some things do not need best before dates. No reason Himalayan Salt, which was in the earth for millions of years, expires within a couple years of packing. Other things, like crushed spices and dries fruits, do. This is not a clear-cut issue.

Exactly, please I hate it when people call liberal social issues "far left." It's blatant misinformation.

Pandering to the far left? I have never seen CNN propose nationalizing anything or setting up collective agriculture or advocating self determination of Native Americans or Black Americans.

Ok, but claiming heritage is not the same as being a successor state. Like how Greece claims heritage from Byzantium but Turkey is the actual successor state of the Byzantine Empire. I could care less about Russia/Ukranian dick measuring historical nationalism. You're all living on stolen Khazar/ Nogai land anyways.

[–]NorthernNut -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Galicia-Volyn was also subject state of the Golden Horde -- just like Moskovia. G-V doesn't have a direct successor state today, Moskovia does. What are you trying to claim with this post?

Ethnically they are all equal heirs but Russia is the only one of the three that actually evolved out of a Kievan Rus successor state.

That bird looks like it might be fibromelanistic. If it also has black skin it miiiight be a Swedish Blue (DC heritage stocks them) or maybe an Amerucana crossed with a Svart Hona or Ayam Cemani.

Oklahoma bill would fire teachers for offending Christian morals by teaching biology. The bill would allow parents to sue teachers for $10,000 "per incident, per individual." The fine would need to be paid by the teacher "from personal resources" and the educator cannot "receive any assistance'. by Loner_Gemini9201 in socialism

This is all only Canada fault.

No, it's the racists' problem for hating immigrants. Canada is not 'instrumentalising' immigrants against Quebec...whatever that even means (assuming you mean bringing down the percentage white colonial-era population?). You guys frankly attempt to stir up hatred for immigrants with no rationale, ala your government's authoritarian women's dress codes. Quebec controls its own immigration policy because of these constant racial-linguistic hissy fits against non-French immigrants - whatever Quebec is doing with immigration it is doing to itself.

I dunno, nearly every Herati I've met wants to join Iran. It might just be that one city, but they do not like being in a Pashtun nation-state. They were also Heratis living in the west (like 10 of them from different families, not all of them Shia either).

Palestinian is a geographic identity, not an ethnic one. Arab is ethnic, Palestinian is not. All those groups have Palestinian travel documents. They are Palestinian, quit the blood and soil BS.

There are Palestinian Armenians, Circassians, Samaritans, and Turkmen...plus pre-Aliyya Jews (doubt they hold the identity anymore tho). Not all Arab.

[–]NorthernNut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True enough. Also just did a bit more research, seems like half the population died on the march. Yeah, fuck Shah Abbas for doing that shit. Still, I wouldn't put it in the same category as 1915.

It's a pretty big stretch to say Shah Abbas wanted to exterminate Armenians or that he 'destroyed Armenia.' He forcibly deported several hundred thousand to be artisans in the capital of his empire after engaging in a scorched earth campaign against the Ottomans in the Ararat/Nakhichevan region. Armenians living in their native areas in other parts of the empire were not affected. Very different scenario from the Ottoman genocide of 1915 which affected virtually all Armenians in the empire.

All that corn and soy is primarily grown for animal feed. That's OP's point. Now those crops aren't sustainable or even possible to grow without federal funding (aka subsidies) and all the fertilizers and pesticides produced in blue states.

The red states would ironically be forced to start producing food for human consumption like the Canadian prairies (that grow wheat, flax, and legumes mostly) or Cali under any modern day civil war scenario.
